  1. 5.0 Kamadahan Falls (1 review)
    - 2010 Visit
    Waterfalls
I just remember the time when, we (with my colleagues) descended towards this waterfall sometimes in the year 2010. I just remember the rock (on the first picture above) along this river (Bayog river) where I am standing atop on it... While I am standing, I felt asleep for seconds of time and felt the cool and fresh air from the falls... After a nap of seconds, when I look-up the cleared blue sky, I saw the clouds above us compressing and gradually becoming gray and then turning into dark... so, I rushed moving and stay on the other side of the river calling my colleagues who are swimming to go back to the safer place. This waterfall is really a very amazing but a scary one due to its huge sound created by the impact of the water when falling down... the surrounding colored-grey and dark-brown cliffs around it, where the shrubs, grasses and secondary trees are growing, were made me stirred of. This time, I had felt nervous and my heart starts beating faster...I'm thinking where to exit quickly to escape in case of a sudden flood... Superstitiously, there came little and colorful (blue, yellow, and white) and beautiful butterflies’ from the bottom of the waterfall and two lovely (2) girls playing at the river before the waterfalls, seen by my friend... These observations were just told by my friend the time we were already in Cagayan de Oro City. There are some hidden story behind this majestic waterfalls…which were narrated to me by my uncle (my mother cousin), a native of this place. If somebody has plan to go for a visit, be sure that he/she has Camera to bring for pictorials. It's because, he/she is not sure if he/she can have a revisit for the next due to the difficulties of the access to this falls. His/her visit might be the first and the last... a "once in a blue moon". This story is a real… an experience of mine which I could never forget. See more..

    Kalubihon Falls image
Located at Barangay Dalipuga, Iligan City, 10 peso fare from the city. You will traversing the stream from poblacion going up the to the mountainous side of Iligan City. The hills are quite stiff that is quite hard to pass. Some rocks are slippery so be careful. I would advice you to use sandals with straps than slippers and rubber shoes. You can also bring foods for your meas cause it really takes more than an hour before reaching the topmost part of the stream. The view is really nice. I guarantee that. Going back is also full of and adventure. 100 pesos pocket money will do. See more..

    - Special Coffee experience at Bo's Robinsons
Saturday: 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM Shopping Malls
    Robinson's Place image
During this time of pandemic, going out of home should only be when necessary. I had to pay my bills at Smart third floor located at the Robinsons Mall. While waiting for it to open I had coffee and oatmeal cookie at Bo's, I was so delighted of this experience because Bo's coffee had impressed me when I waiting for my return flight at Cebu International airport. Here in Iligan, I think there is another Bo's in Pala-o. I consider my Bo's experience just last Tuesday as special, indeed! Am so grateful that Robinson's Place houses this favorite coffee shop of mine. See more..

We were just there yesterday, you need to pay 50 pesos per head which is well worth it. The beauty of nature and pools for the kids would be enough to satisfy and make you feel relaxed. It's just that the post for this one is totally wrong. Iligan City is the City of majestic waterfalls and Cagayan de Oro City is almost 2 hours away from it. See more..

    - Elevated view of the city proper.
    Geologic Formations
    Buhanginan Hill image
Where the City Hall is located that is elevated, providing a view of the city proper. Always a part of the itinerary every time we tour our first time visitors around Iligan City especially at night. The open space in front of the City Hall is often visited at night where you can view the city; quite safe with the security detailed at the City Hall. There is also the amphitheater at the back of the City Hall with a basketball court in the center; also a playground nearby. Various offices of the local government located in the area. See more..
  19. 4.0 Kalilangan Coldspring (1 review)
    - Fun and Enjoyable Cold Spring Resort
    Sports Complexes
    Kalilangan Coldspring image
It was a blast of fun and very cold water visiting and enjoying the amenities of this resort! This place is a bit out of the ways from civilization to access. Getting there is easy as long you have a private transport or rented van, if not get a ride from one of the tricycles waiting along Linamon-Zamboanga road. The place is a bit busy during the weekends as a lot of locals like to go to this place to relax and have fun. The area where the cold spring is sourced is a dammed up waterfall with three large and two small pools for the water to flow in. They also have open cottages for you to leave your things and food behind. The shower rooms are one of the cleanest I have used in a mid range resort (shower is a bit of an overstatement as they only have a faucet and drum to store the water in each room). They also have a karaoke area for those of you who want to sing your lungs out. ;) See more..
  20. 4.0 Splash Away Waterpark (1 review)
    - Family Fun Swim
Spent More than 3 hours Water Parks
    Splash Away Waterpark image
People in Lanao Norte don't have to drive to pools or resort in the next city just for a swim or family get-together. Thanks to this new A+ resort in town. It's highly accessible. It's situated just along the national highway; bounded between 2 towns of Baroy and Lala. It's just 15 to 20-minute drive from Tubod (provincial capital of LDN) or from the commercial hub barangay Maranding. The spacious function hall can cater 400pax for a rent of P10k and for a maximum of 6-hour use. (Well, this was the info I got during my very recent visit. And I will be going back next week for my bestfriend's wedding *wink* offtopic). It opens as early as 6am for your morning swim and closes at 5pm. Prepare P100 pesos for entrance fee. If you're up for a pure night dip, night swimming starts at 6pm 'til you froze at 11pm. Night swimming is for another fee but if you want to get in right at the very early opening hours (6am) straight to closing time (11pm), it only costs you P150. (Hope fees will not increase this soon.) I shouldn't forget to mention that they also have a rooms for big group (they're also constructing rooms for couple), and a small chapel for your quick "retreat" :). Tips: Love crabs and shrimps? There are sellers across the street. I have also spotted a small eatery beside the crabs stall. (The resort also has canteen for munchies and serves short orders though.) Hope I have helped. Have fun with your family and friends! See more..
  21. 4.0 Virgin Falls (1 review)
    - Hidden paradise
    Waterfalls
Kapatagan has many things to offer for those who love the outdoors, and Virgin Falls is one of them. You can take a habal2x ride to get the area. A 20-30 minute descent through a trail will take you to Virgin Falls. The pool's not too big but enough for a dive, dip and a swim. See more..
  22. 4.0 Dalipuga Falls (1 review)
    - Hidden Gem in Dalipuga
    Waterfalls
    Dalipuga Falls image
Compared to the other famous falls in the city, Dalipuga Falls (assumingly Pampam Falls) is an underrated spot. If you're an adventurer, you might want to try visiting the falls. The hike to the top usually lasts for around 30 minutes. The grounds can be slippery, so be sure you're wearing the right footwear. For first timers, there will always be awaiting young tour guides at your disposal. Pampam falls is actually a series of small waterfalls and the very top is the best as it hides a small cenote. Be sure to always stay on the lookout for your belongings! See more..
  23. 3.5 Macaraeg-Macapagal Ancestral House (18 reviews)
    - Macaraeg-Macapagal History
    Historic Sites
    Macaraeg-Macapagal Ancestral House image
The house is so simple yet elegant. Two presidents inhabited the house, Pres. Diosdado and Pres. Gloria. What you will see there are more on portraits of the family. But there is one really amazing portrait of Pres. Gloria. In fairness, sexy si Madam Glo. There are also some gifts from the Maranao friends handed to Mrs. Macapagal. It is located just beside Timoga Cold Spring. it is in your left if you are travelling going to Lanao del Sur. There is a minimal entrance fee, a sort of donation. They are open Monday to Saturday until 4pm only. See more..
  24. 3.5 Iligan Anahaw Ampitheater (10 reviews)
    - Suitable for Shows
    Arenas & Stadiums
    Iligan Anahaw Ampitheater image
The amphitheater is not really that good to be considered as an attraction. The first time I visited that, I found dull and nothing interesting not until my second visit during the Diyandi Festival. I really appreciate the place seeing thousands of people occupying the bleachers cheering for their street dancers. I felt like I am in Rome witnessing that battle the Gladiator and the beast. It is a unique place for shows. You can ride a tartanilla going to the amphitheater. See more..

  27. 3.0 The Blue Lagoon (2 reviews)
    - New and Refreshing Swimming Experience

    The Blue Lagoon image
We didn't know about this place until we saw a sign in front of the Iligan City paradise and Eco Park Mimbalut falls. We ventured into the place by following the road which was not yet paved. The view was nice, lots of trees around the two pools. A lot of people were already there. We ate our lunch first. We brought our own lunch by the way. We couldn't wait to swim. We tested the waters and it was cool. It was refreshing and I didn't want to get out of the pool. We just wanted to stay there. See more..
  28. 2.5 Gaisano City Mall (48 reviews)
    - Poor customer service, blantant disregard for people
    Shopping Malls
    Gaisano City Mall image
I come here regularly to escape the heat. I know this mall very well. The privately owned stores are decent BUT the Gaisano operated stores are rubbish. The supermarket is a joke. Cashiers in this modern age cannot distinguish between a debit card and a credit card. The meat and fish section should be closed down. The isles are over packed with goods and are too narrow to accomodate the crowds of people. Even with 35 checkouts the queues are long and tiring. In the department store things are a bit better but they have a shortage of cashiers which makes the shopping experience woeful. You can wait up to 30 minutes to get served at times. In there newish hardware store only one cashier is available - seriously pathetic. See more..
