  6. 4.5 Tumalog Falls (1.106 reviews)
    - Beautiful
    Waterfalls
    Tumalog Falls image
Beautiful falls which are down a very steep hill - cars can’t go down it so there are lots of motorbikes waiting to take you down and up for 50 pesos each way. You can walk like we did which isn’t that bad. The falls are beautiful and weren’t too busy when we visited. You are able to swim in the pool - it is rather cold! Very impressive size and natural beauty. Not too developed which is good to see. See more..

  8. 4.5 Cambugahay Falls (929 reviews)
    - Fun place to spend some time
    Waterfalls
    Cambugahay Falls image
We spent a fun couple of hours at the waterfalls. Beautiful blue water. We arrived with our scooter, there is parking for them just at the entrance to the falls, parking fee is going by donations, so you pick how much you want to pay, and those guys really watch over the scooters. The entrance fee is normally 10 php, but we got there early so no one was there, we got in for free. There are 3 Tarzan swings, different heights, 50 php for unlimited swings. They are really fun, I was scared before the first swing but you just have to go and after that it was just all fun. Then you can stand under the smaller falls to get a nice shoulder / back massage and just lounge in the water. There are some vendors there, I think they open around 9 to buy some food. We got there around 7:30/8:00 and it wasn't crowded at all, so I would suggest to go early. It's definitely worth a visit! See more..

  11. 4.5 Dumaluan Beach (607 reviews)
    - Better than Alona beach
    Beaches
    Dumaluan Beach image
This beach will leave you speechless! It is not for passionate swimmers, but if you like to enjoy the white sand and clean water this is the place for you. It is a lot better than Alona beach, it is less crowded and more charming. The tricycle ride price to get from Alona to Dumaluan beach is 150PHP. That is the standard price, don't let anyone charge you more. There is a restaurant near the beach if you want anything to eat or drink. Prices are reasonable. See more..
  12. 4.5 Apo Island Marine Reserve (592 reviews)
    - Fantastic.... You don't need a guide
Reefs • Nature & Wildlife Areas
    Apo Island Marine Reserve image
Brilliant snorkelling for varied coral, Turtles and fish. 100 pesos per person fee total if staying on the island. An amazing must see island experience. Stay on the island if you can, to get the early morning or late afternoon snorkelling without the day trippers. Coral is stunning, with many varieties, colours and sizes. Also plenty of fish to see. The highlights are the various species of turtles, which can be found all over the beach area (we saw 7, 1 at over 1m long and 2 varieties), and not just the area bouyied off as the feeding sanctuary. They say you need a guide at 300 pp to see the turtles, but this is nonsense. We also saw a local guide encouraging some Chinese daytrippers to take selfies right next to the turtles. Just get in and swim around yourself. See more..
  13. 4.5 Pescador Island (565 reviews)
    - Island apart
    Islands
    Pescador Island image
It's an awesome day trip! Take a boat from almost anywhere in Moalboal, sit back, relax and enjoy the 25 to 35 minute ride to Pescador Island. It's just a small little outcrop in the middle of the straight between Cebu and Negros. We don't usually go for the Island itself (there's nothing really on it and it is protected), but it is a favorite spot to hang out, snorkel, dive, and enjoy the beautiful coral reefs surrounding it. I spent my 49th birthday out there. We had three boats full of family and just partied! See more..

    - Amazing natural hills

    Chocolate Hills Natural Monument image
If you are travelling to Bohol island, this is the only place you must go. Skip other places if you like to spend less money. Tarsier and phyton will pay 100 pesos/person per each location and Loboc river will cost you 850 pesos per person for the boat ride. We were departing from hotel in the Alona beach. They are many local individual travel agent at the beach front. Try to bargain. For the private tour they offer 3500 pesos pls remember this is only for the transportation not including entrance fee. We were able to get 2500 pesos for one day tour. Make sure you get the car you want it. Since we were only 3 person so they gave me toyota vios not a van. The travel time from Alona beach to the chocolate hills was around 2 hours and along the way we noticed they were couple using tricycle also going there. And if you like to spend less money when return to the airport, try using tricycle it costs only 100-150 pesos and only 5-6 minute ride from Alona beach. See more..
  18. 4.0 Kawasan Falls (1.924 reviews)
    - Great fun
    Spent 2-3 hours Waterfalls
    Kawasan Falls image
We had booked a 7:00 am with Kawasan Canyoneering Company. They didn’t show up on the confirmed time, nor did they answer phone calls. Our hotel came to the rescue and booked a 10:30 tour with a company, I think they were called Denver Canyoneering. Super great tour company, very friendly staff. The canyoneering takes about 4 hours. I willingly admit, I am a bit out of shape and was easily 20-30 years older than the rest of the group but had no problem keeping up. But I think I will pay for it tomorrow when I wake up but it will be worth it. See more..

    Tarsier Conservation Area image
Located on the main road from the city, the bus cost 30 pesos each... You then need to walk about 500m or so to the sanctuary. Paid a small fee of 80 pesos each and were shown around the sleeping Tarsiers by a guide in the surrounding forest. Was a beautiful experience. See more..
  21. 4.0 Taoist Temple (1.486 reviews)
    - A peaceful and breezy break from the city
    Religious Sites
    Taoist Temple image
The temple is free to visit and offers great views of Cebu city. There’s also seats, breeze and a lot of shade so we took a welcome rest from the city heat. I found it one of the more interesting attractions in Cebu. We didn’t pray or observe people praying, we just enjoyed the temple’s architecture and view. The Taoist temple is just out of the main part of Cebu City - a white taxi can be used to get here for around 100 pesos. You can either ask the taxi to wait for you or catch one on the way back. There isn’t a pool of taxis outside waiting for the return journey but don’t be overcharged by someone saying they will take you for 400 pesos. Just walk down the hill for 10 mins, past the security gate and flag down a metered taxi from there. See more..

  27. 4.0 Lapu Lapu Statue (977 reviews)
    - A piece of History...
    Monuments & Statues
    Lapu Lapu Statue image
Of all the places we were, this was one of the ones that touched us the most, for the sake of being Portuguese and having been the place where Ferdinand Magellan was killed. Unlike everything that surrounds this place, here everything is spacious and minimally organized and careful. Tributes are paid to Lapu Lapu (named as the first Philippine national hero), the Ferdinand Magellan, commander of the first fleet that circumnavigated the world and all the historical achievements accomplished by the Spaniards in this stoppage.
