  1. 5.0 Agbalala Falls (4 reviews)
    - The walk is in itself an adeventure
    Waterfalls
    Agbalala Falls image
Agbalala Falls is located at Sitio Apias. Take trike from the town of Abra de Ilog to Agbalala Falls. The ride is roughly 30 minutes due to condition of the road. From the stop point in Apias, trek to Apias for 20 minutes depending on pacing. There are several stops for charming overlooking view. Turn right when you reach the beach part. The falls is 20 meter (roughly) gradual ascend with safe and natural foot landings. You'll pass through beautiful rock formations and, behold, one of the best water falls I have seen. It is to my understanding that the indigenous Iraya Mangyans are keeping the place. You are required to pay a guide fee according to your generosity. Be generous but not to the extent of spoiling them. See more..

    Bancuro Church Ruins image
My last day in the Municipality of Naujan in Oriental Mindoro was spent with a visit to Bancuro Church Ruins. The locals called Bancuro Church Ruins as the Simbahang Bato (Stone Church). This is a Roman Catholic Church located in Barangay Bancuro. This old church made from adobe and sea corals is also called “a church within a church” because it houses a small chapel within the ruins of an old one. Indeed, a valuable place to pray in the heart of Naujan. See more..

    Aninuan Beach image
We were told that this was probably the best beach in PG.This Place was only a short walk down a hill from our accomodation Amihan Villa . I found the beach very pleasant and clean with off white sand. The place was not crowded at all and a better option than nearby White Beach. No vendors to pester you but there are also no dining options available here either. See more..

    - Favourite beach of our trip
    Beaches
    Pebble Beach image
It is a private beach that you have to pay a token 10 Pesos per head to visit. Little beach huts to rent for 200 Pesos. Virtually no vendors other than a couple of ice cream and juice sellers on the weekend. It is a pebble beach and they do get hot in the day so shoes are good. The sea is very calm so great for kids. Just off the rocks of the headlands on either side of the bay are coral gardens that are good for snorkelling even for younger kids if you swim with them. Say lots of fish. Highly recommend this beach. See more..

    Haligi Beach image
We arranged a local skipper to take us (2 adults and 2 children 7yrs & 9yrs) around some beaches with good snorkelling for the day for 1000 peso. Haligi beach was stop #2. There are 2 small straw huts selling drinks and snacks - many people bring their own picnics and relax for a few hours before moving on. There were a few boats on the beach but plenty of room for everyone. The snorkelling in the bay was AMAZING - on par with Coral Garden and a lot less busy. Well worth the visit. See more..

  14. 4.5 Mount Halcon (9 reviews)
    - A challenging but very rewarding experience
    Mountains
    Mount Halcon image
Together with a friend I decided to climb Mt. Halcon. First you have to go to Baco municipality to get a permit. Then you are transported to a Mangyan village named Bayanan. Their you can get a guide and porters. Please be aware that they expect the mountaineers to bring their own equipment, and food for the porters and guide as well. The latter can be bought in Bayanan. We only found out on the mountain, so we had no sleeping bags, matrasses or enough food. Despite this ordeal, it was al worth it. The climb and the views are superb. It is possible to climb down in one day, which we did (12 Hours). If you are up for a challenge, this is it! See more..

    National Parks
    Mt. Iglit-Baco National Park image
T climb Mt Iglit you need a permit which you can get at the Tamaraw Conservation Program office (free). Contact person: Danny Roca. It's on an unpaved side road of the Airport Road, San Roque I (or II), San Jose, Occidental Mindoro.

You start from Barangay Poypoy, sitio Cabyagan (Calintaan)
You go to station I (around 45min) - station II (around 3h) - station III (around 1.5h).

We did Station I, II, III (tamaraw spotting), II on day one and Station II, peak, Station II, Station I, Poypoy on day 2.

Station II is around 400m altitude, station III around 900m and Mt Iglit around 1400m

Station II to the top of Mt Iglit is around 3h, but it is fully exposed so you need to start early to avoid most of the sun. No water source on the way so you need to carry all your water for 6h of hiking. It is a steep hike. Going down is as slow/fast as going up. There is water at station II (tap) and station III (stream). You can take purification tablets if you have them.

The naujan lake approximately 8, 125 hectare on March 27, 1956 by President Ramon Magsaysay declared a National Park. The park caters bird watching, educational tour, and scientific research. And this park is the widest breeding place of marsh birds. The lake is the primary source of income for the majority of the residents of Duongan, Victoria, Oriental Mindoro. I was enjoyed to feel how relaxing this place and you can unwind anytime. This place is good for taking a picture because of sunrise, fresh fish, and also the species of birds that you want to see here. As you can see the boat, it is available if you want to experience to ride it but you need a guard which is the owner of the boat for your safetiness. See more..

    Boquete Island image
My partner and I were recently in Puerto Galera for a summer vacation. I'm a city girl and told him I wish to snorkel and visit a beach with CLEARRR water (as I have never seen such thing in my life). He took me to Boquete Island as a pit stop during our snorkel activity, and damn I am in love with how clean and clear the water is! I was waddling around the shores while my partner was soaking in the sun and I came across Patrick the Chocolate Chip Starfish! What a cutie! He was the highlight of my day!!! Don't worry: I left him back where I found him in the water. See more..

  25. 4.0 Tukuran Falls (160 reviews)
    - Best attraction in Puerto Galera
    Waterfalls
    Tukuran Falls image
Tukuran Falls was spectacular due to the recent rainfall. The carabao-cart ride to the falls was good fun and the guide was very informative. You can swim in the falls when it is safe to do so. I enjoyed my climb up the falls and taking photos. I hired a local guide and van from PG Showaround which was more comfortable than a tricycle as it tales about 1 hour to get there from Sabang. The cost for the falls (excluding transport) is Php500 for the carabao-cart ride and Php50 per person at the falls. My best day out in Puerto Galera as you can also visit Tamaraw Waterfalls on the way there. See more..

This village was built by a very wealthy foreign philanthropist that erected more than 250 hut/homes. The people who live there also make wonderful baskets and containers from local natural fibers that are wonderful as a presentation for sticking some locally purchased South Seas pearls and taking them back as gifts. Hired a guide, not that you exactly need one, but happy to help support the native people of the area. Cool little cultural shops on the way with handmade items from locals. Beautiful manageable hike to the falls. And once arrived was refreshed and cooled off thoroughly by the amazing clean waterfall. Overall, awesome little adventure. There and back takes maybe 45 mins, plus however long you want to stay at the falls. Felt like a very nice little place to pack a lunch or bring a picnic along. See more..

Serenity. That’s what you’ll find in this beautiful place. We were not able to ride the zip-line since it was non operational when we got there, but the scenery itself was perfect. We made sure we would be there before the sunset and yes, we got the perfect view of the sun. There are yet a lot of undiscovered places in Mindoro that are beautiful, and i can’t wait to see them all and share them to ya’ll! ❤️ See more..
