Wonderful island that has a really nice view with mini museums for shells, paintings and even a bird sanctuary. An hour to walk is not enough to appreciate the beauty of the resort. Experience the waves under the caves and feel the breeze of the air. Such a wonderful experience not to be miss See more..

    - More of a food market... But still fun

    Virgin Island image
Nothing really "virgin" about this sandbar. It's covered in food stalls. Still it makes for pretty pictures and good eating. Try the Sea Cucumber and Sea Urchin! See more..

    - Island apart

    Pescador Island image
It's an awesome day trip! Take a boat from almost anywhere in Moalboal, sit back, relax and enjoy the 25 to 35 minute ride to Pescador Island. It's just a small little outcrop in the middle of the straight between Cebu and Negros. We don't usually go for the Island itself (there's nothing really on it and it is protected), but it is a favorite spot to hang out, snorkel, dive, and enjoy the beautiful coral reefs surrounding it. I spent my 49th birthday out there. We had three boats full of family and just partied! See more..
  4. 4.0 Crocodile Island (431 reviews)
    - Fantastic snorkelling
    Islands
    Crocodile Island image
I am notb an expert on coral reefs so I will leave it to others to judge whether fairly large numbers of tourists snorkelling have led to reefs off Boracay Island, Philippines adjacent to Crocodile Island. However for P1800 my friend and me hired a 'banca' (boat capable of carrying six passengers) and motored around the tip of Boracay, past all the ferries shuttling back and forth to Caticlan, to the snorkelling site off Crocodile Island. For P1800, the hire period of the banca with its two crew members is four hours. The sea was calm and snorkelling was easy. I saw at least 10 species and had purchased two loaves of bread from a Main Road bakery for P40 each, which added greatly to the fun. One species in particular ate out of my hand, and others including clownfish waited half a metre or so away for me to throw morsels in. It was a lovely experience with the presence of about 10 other boats not diminishing our enjoyment in any way. See more..

    Virgin Island image
We visited the island with private banka early in the morning, so we were almost alone at this precious place, it really looks like paradise with white soft sand and crystal clear water. I recommend to start early to have the piece we enjoyed, before other tourists arrives. Entrance fee is 500 PHP per person. There is also cliff jumping available. See more..
  6. 4.0 Sumilon Island (295 reviews)
    - White sand, clear, deep blue waters and more in Sumilon
    Islands
    Sumilon Island image
Going to Sumilon Island is one exciting activity you shouldn’t miss specially when you are in Oslob already. The sand bar of the island isn’t that long but big enough to enjoy and splurge playing in the very fine and powder like white sand. Just be careful though and always watch your kids closely when they plunge into the waters because it is deep and has small waves. See more..

The tour in general was great, visited several spots including a sandbar, beach and lagoon (my favorite was Cabugao Gamay). Lunch was impressive with lots of scallops, prawn, and the crabs were perfect! The boat we got was okay and the crew were friendly. For the price we paid, it was definitely worth it. See more..
  8. 3.0 Lakawon Island (215 reviews)
    - Holiday

    Lakawon Island image
First of all, let's start with what's not so good. 1. The cost of food and beverage in this island are quite pricey. E.g a jug of ice will cost you 50 php (1 usd). 2. The beach are also quite dirty. For the environmental fees that they charge us in the port, I'm expecting cleaner beach. 3. There's no proper shower area to clean up after u enjoy the beach. Regardless of spending a day or staying over night. So let's go through the good one now. 1. The food is delicious and properly cooked. I did said that almost everything is quite pricey here, however it's understandable since the only way to go in and out of this island is by the pump boat. So to transport their supplies is also quite challenging. 2. The cottage for me is acceptable however an improvement will be appreciated. 3. Aircon are working like how it supposed to be despite that electricity in this island only running on generator. 4. Last but not least, the beach are beautiful! Clear emerald water with white sand. And the view of the sunset was breathtaking. Overall I'm satisfied with my trip to Lakawon. However I'm really hoping that the management of this island to do some improvement on the site maintenance and cleanliness. This small island have a big potential to be famous island. See more..

    Canigao Island image
For the banca ride it's P45/pp, minimum of 10. We had the intention of staying overnight so we rented a tent for P200, plus space rental P100. For cottage it's P500, plus P200 overnight. Banca operates at 7am to 5pm. Generator would be turned on at 6pm, if you want to take a bath it's P20, and P10 for restroom. We enjoyed the white sand, beach and scenery but was quite shocked as to find garbage piled up at the back. It's ideal to bring your own food. It's still worth a visit. Other fees: Entrance fee: P20, Children P5, Table rental: P50, Chair P10, Umbrella P150, 1 Room P1500, Electricity P100. See more..

90 minutes by boat from malapascua island, a must hop island on your vacation at malapascua. The island is actually split into 2 areas, but is connected on a beach walk which is truly amazing, because as you walk you are walking on the water waves. Nothing on this island except amazing sea water and great place for snorkeling. See more..

Sambawan Island is the Best Island Destination in the Philippines' most beautiful region (region 8!). It is part of the Municipality of Maripipi province of Biliran. Its location is just so perfect for someone to take thousands of different, amazing photos. It is in the middle of great looking islands in the Visayas and the 360 view from the island's highest point is just perfect! Swimming and any water activity here would be fantastic. A visit to Sambawan will make one's stay in the Philippines the most memorable. I always recommend this island to my friends who are looking for great adventure. Boracay Waters image
There are many touts who will try to sell the water activities. Just ensure you get the right agent to handle your activities or you may directly to Station 1 booth to arrange and pay your money. There are many water activities namely - island hopping, surfing, sailing, parasailing, jetski, speedboat, snorkelling, helmet diving, cliff diving, scuba diving, helicopter ride, banana boat ride and many more. You can also choose to just swim at the shore or sunbathing. If you are tired, go for a massage or you may relax at the shore, have coconut water. The beach is clean. Good place to be away for a holiday in Boracay from your normal routine and away from the hustle and bustle city life. The beach is so beautiful with crystal clear water. See more..

I loved our visit to the island. The water was clear and the sun was out. The sand bar was coming out too. Too bad there was a lot of algae floaters that you have to dodge. I also wish they had better bathroom facilities at the island. See more..

    Cabugao Gamay Island image
The most beautiful and photographed among the group. But the beauty of the island is perfectly complemented by the awesome service of Nanay Maruja, Dido, chef Alvin and the rest of the staff of Maruja Flora's Resort. A few day-tripper's could get a little bothersome during the day, but on the early hours and late hours, you'll have the island all for your self which makes anyone NOT want to leave See more..

Beautiful island with a very fine white sand, crystal clear water and a small shoreline not ideal to cater big visitor. However, it's unique landscape and calm nature is extremely refreshing.it's has a very interesting story according to some local about the name of the island. island hoolpping package is cheaper compare to other place it cost us around myr 70-80.I get the package from the place we stayed which is alubijod beach resort. Locals are very friendly and accommodating. Food? No worries as some of the resort allowed the guest to bring in food from the local homes who offered cooking service for the tourist. restaurant is also available. See more..
  19. 4.5 Tulang Diot Island (26 reviews)
    - Truly Remarkable Experience!
    Islands
    Tulang Diot Island image
My wife, 3-year old son and I visited Tulang Diot Island as part of our island tour through Mangodlong Paradise Resort (see my highly recommended review of this resort). This was one of the best experiences of our whole trip to the Philippines. The snorkeling on the island's West side was absolutely wonderful! Lots of fish and even a few Clown Fish ("Nemo"). The beach on the Eastern tip of the Island was like a mini Boracay! White sand, gorgeous water, laid back atmosphere! The boat to Tulang cost 800 PhP and we tipped the captain and is mate 200 more for not rushing us. They were great! I recommending adding this to an island tour. Tulang is only 5-10 minutes off the coast. See more..

    Limasawa Island image
My trip to Limasawa Island was totally laid back. It started with a good breakfast. I walked along the beach and just enjoyed the view. It’s very quiet except for the sound of the waves. I decided to go for a quick moped ride to the next barangays and the road was all mine! Hearty lunch after and just lazy afternoon at the patio until the most picturesque sunset at the LeReve Beach House. See more..
  22. 4.5 Agho Island (22 reviews)
    - Commune with the beach :)
    Islands
    Agho Island image
This is one of the island hopping itinerary in concepcion, Iloilo. Others are the island of Edu Manzano, Sandbar Island etc.. We spent almost half of our tour here compared to Sandbar resort. One reminder though. This is not a resort, its an islet with crystal clear waters and white sands. Therefore, no toilet and bath thought there were small cottages for picnics (there is no entrance fee as well), no trash cans too. So when you come here, please bring out your trash and don't leave it there. I noticed that there are no local or DENR officials who takes care of the islet. I'm not even sure if it's private but I think it's not coz if it is - people wouldn't be allowed then. Or the local government can put one area in there port where all small triggered boats park and collect entrance fees to maintain the place. I've seen that the tourists would leave their leftover cans, food or plastics there and it won't be long these islets will be dirty and no longer an attraction. See more..
  23. 4.5 Calicoan Island (17 reviews)
    - Feels like mine
    Islands
    Calicoan Island image
I lived in the municipality for 7 months. This place is 18 km away from my home. Going through my bike, pedaling for more than an hour, enjoying the view, burning calories is my normal weekend well spent in this spot. Sunrise is magnificent that I even spent my 27th year of sunrise here. The waves, the quiet beach, the surfers, the wind, the quiet town is simply awesome. I am honestly surprised how it looked like before Yolanda hit the town, now it's much simpler but, for me, it is awesome See more..

A great place to spend the day for a couple of hours with your family. Although they lack a neat & working comfort room, the experience was very relaxing. It was like a little paradise thats soon to be opened. Sadly there are only 2 available cottages at the moment. There were no hotels or lodging. And we reached there by boat. For people who loves to see beaches that are untouched by developers, this is a must-see place. See more..

It is the most beautiful island among the Cuatro Islas characterized with a breathtaking beach facing the Island of Leyte and with still waters being in the middle and closer to Leyte. Snorkeling is not necessary to see the beautiful coral gardens with colorful fishes surrounding Mahaba Island because the waters around this island are PERFECTLY clear! 27. 5.0 Sibuyan Island (12 reviews)
    - Romblon island
    Islands
    Sibuyan Island image
Romblon island is the kind of place you discover almost by accident and where you wish to stay much longer than planned... We had the good idea to drop at the office of tourism and meet the 2 girls in charge, one American, the other from the south of Romblon. They are actually trying to develop ecotourism on this island which has been preserved, so far, from mass tourism. Thanks to them, we made a very nice hike trom Romblon city to the emettors and then down to the coast, close to the tiny Bonbon beach where we had a delicious sea food lunch at the Blue Martln café. Romblon people are very proud of their island and even more friendly than the average Philippino... Which means a lot. See more..

Taklong Island National Marine Reserve image
Be sure to climb the tower on the island where you sign in - you are asked to register and make a donation when you arrive. Totally worth it - be generous! Most of their 'guests' are locals and cannot afford more than a few pesos. The guys at the registration 'office' are super nice and very helpful - you can learn as much as you want about mangroves if you're interested. They'll also point you in the direction to go snorkelling (although your bangka drivers will already know this). White sand beaches, locals enjoying the area and great views. See more..

This island is larger than Alad, the latter with its cove being the highlight of my island hopping from Romblon Island. It is a very short hop from Romblon with the bangka being able to land on the shore. However Lugbong Island (sometimes spelt as 'Lugbon') was great and had a lovely longish white sand beach with friendly villagers, no official entrance fee (though I gave an islander some money) and a few fish and quite a few corals from my brief snorkelling. There was little or no rubbish on the shore which is how I like it. The sea looked beautiful as it was another sunny day in Philippines. It was aquamarine in part where there was a sandy bottom.
