The bus pickup us at the hotel and we drove towards different villages in direction to Inmil. There, walking into the mountain to a waterfall with a beautiful site seeing and trough typical villages. Our guide, Lachguer Driss, was amazing, he lives in the local and was very pleased to show us his villages and how his people live. After the lunch (very good Tagine) we were invited by Driss to go visit his family home.There he served us mint tea and we met his family. I personally learn how to made a real mint tea. We ended the day visiting woman’s argan oil cooperative where we learned how they made products and they offered us more tea. Before we came back to hotel we went to a camel ride on sun set. This trip is really great value for money and highly recommend Driss as a guide. See more..

We went on a day trip to Ait Benhaddou with Senhaji, our guide and Omar, our driver. Besides Ait Benhaddou, we also visited the Atlas Studios, Quarzazate and the Tizi n'Tichka pass. It was a very long day with many stops but overall a very memorable and enjoyable experience. Omar drove very safely even though there were lots of road works on our journey. Senhaji amazed us by being able to lead the tour more or less fluently in just about 5 languages (Arabic, Berber, French, Spanish, English, Italian). They were very flexible and never insisted on any activity not wanted by the group. E.g. the whole group was taken to a restaurant at lunchtime, which my partner and I did not like too much, so they even helped us find another one which was more to our taste. We definitely recommend Senhaji and Omar if you would like to enjoy a tour in Morocco and learn more about old and recent Moroccan culture, they are the kindest people we met here so far! See more..

The trip is beautiful. The Altas Mountains are in view for much of the first day. Our driver and guide, Hamid is a wonderful ambassador for his Berber traditions and Global Adventures. He's kind and humble with a delightful sense of humor that put us at ease. He is also knowledgeable and a mindful driver. The tempo of the traditional background music went well with this road trip!. I also appreciated the various guides along the way with insights into Berber life. The camel ride is, of course, a highlight and the young people running the camp are attentive and engaging, having fun with the evening drumming. The desert in its evocative expanse and indelible beauty -- sun and shadow, stars and silence is a captivating experience just a few hoof steps into the dunes. I shared a hammam, my first, with two women from my Intrepid tour group. After, I had a massage. Both were absolutely wonderful. The women who attended to me and my companions were anonymous (in the Islamic tradition) and completely skilled and professional. The massage I received afterwards was simply the best I’ve ever had. It came on the 11th day of our tour and I was completely refreshed and renewed for the next leg of my journey, to London. I spontaneously hugged my massage therapist at the end. Our guides, Mohammed and Karim, were extremely friendly, passionate and knowledgeable, and I felt 100% safe in their hands! The food cooked for us by their assistants was wonderful, and we were welcomed into the homes of local hosts in various villages, which was a real privilege. It was quite hot in the month of July, so if you struggle hiking up hill in the heat, I would recommend going later in September/October, but if you are fit and healthy, you will be fine! We did a 6 day hike through Berber villages with Hassan (our guide), Ahmed and Jacqueline (our mule). Even though we didn't get to ascent Toubkal as we had initially planned, the scenery was stunning and I can highly recommend this tour. Ahmed cooked incredible meals and went out of his way to make this an amazing experience for us food wise (we even got popcorn and fries on some days). My main regret is not getting a tour guide to teach us more about the history of the madrasa and all the rooms we were walking through (embarrassingly, it took us a minute to figure out it was all dorm rooms!).
