A hammam at Alphais is a must in Marrakech

I shared a hammam, my first, with two women from my Intrepid tour group. After, I had a massage. Both were absolutely wonderful. The women who attended to me and my companions were anonymous (in the Islamic tradition) and completely skilled and professional. The massage I received afterwards was simply the best I’ve ever had. It came on the 11th day of our tour and I was completely refreshed and renewed for the next leg of my journey, to London. I spontaneously hugged my massage therapist at the end. It felt so good and loving, to both of us. I loved Marrakech and, especially, the Alphais Spa. Thanks to the lovely women who take no personal credit for the good they do❤️

    First time in a Hamman - great experience
    Not been to a hamman before, but this was wonderful. The location is nothing special from the outside, but behind the wooden door was a palace of calm and care. Everything is provided for you, and you're guided through each step without any rush. We booked a 30 min hamman and 45 minute massage but spent 3 hours there - totally relaxed and fresh as daisies.
