A one-day trek with Chefchaouen Adventuress above town was a highlight of my visit! The mountains form an imposing backdrop to the city. Going with my guide on this adventure was a spectacular way to view the blue city from a new vantage point. Plus, my guide knew eveything about the plants and trees, native species of animals and birds and provided delicious snacks and water, for our hike. Highly recommend for anyone into nature and being active outdoors and for spectacular vistas of Chefchaouen See more..

We booked the 1 hour tour and found it really enjoyable. We got guided by the owner (sorry, I forgot your name ;-))! You go where you normally would not get by yourself, little sandy roads passing farmer houses, through some forest and mountains and stopped at the lake where we got some refreshment. At the lake some families making music and a very nice atmosphere. The owner is super friendly, ad isbthe test of the staff and they take care of you. Making sure you are safe etc. The helmets super hygienic with a extra hygienic cap under helmet. I do recommend this place. See more..

It was an incredible experience you wont want to miss. After exploring the desert on camels we were greeted at the tents with drummers and a delicious dinner. We left the camp the next morning after a very nice breakfast. See more..
  8. 5.0 Local Berbere Artisanal (69 reviews)
    - Amazing Experience from Beginning to End
    Speciality & Gift Shops
    Local Berbere Artisanal image
This was by far the best rug store I have ever visited during my 2 weeks in Morocco. Friendly store owner, amazing mint tea, and a superb selection of fine rugs. The store owner Abdul's customer service is one of the best I've witnessed, going far beyond what is expected from a shopkeeper. After purchasing a rug from him, he followed up immediately with confirmation on shipment, and gave me a tracking number and picture confirmation. After dealing with shady salespeople in the past, his professionalism was incredibly refreshing and welcomed. The rugs themselves are incredibly high quality and authentic. Abdul sources the rugs directly from mountain tribes and he meticulously explained how the tribes produced the rug. Overall, I cannot recommend his store enough. See more..

  10. 4.5 Chefchaouen Medina (3.864 reviews)
    - Early morning photos are best, pose away
Tuesday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent More than 3 hours Historic Walking Areas
    Chefchaouen Medina image
The main draw of Chefchaouen, the Blue Pearl, is its painted streets. When we visited in March 2022, our group woke up just after dawn, had breakfast, made hammam reservations, and started our own photoshoot. We took pictures below Cafe Clock, on Callejon el Asri, and basically anywhere in and around the medina that was picturesque and isolated. Most of our photos were between 8:30 and 10 am, for reference. Just before lunch, we found the orange juice vendor and bought juice to get photos taken. Yes, we took some time to shop. I bought earrings, we all bought rollable canvas street art, and we bought fun magnets at a side street vendor. See more..
  11. 4.5 Cascades d'Akchour (652 reviews)
    - Wonderful hikking and region, for children and adults
    Waterfalls
    Cascades d'Akchour image
Cascades d'Akchour are located near Chefchaouen, a wonderful town in the. North of Morocco. In fact, the roite from Chefchaouen to Akchour is fantastic, you can see some beautiful landscapes of Rif Mountains. In Akchour, it is possible to do a hikking to the waterfalls. From the parking, if you walk 45minutes in the correct direction, you arrive to some little waterfalls. It is a perfect excursion to do with children and olders and at the end you can see beautiful waterfalls, while you drink a tea. Also, if you continue, in about 90minutes, you arrive to the best waterfall: a big one with a very beautiful lake, where you can relax and drink a coffe, while you see the most beautiful views of the place. This part is for adults, but not for children or olders. It is not difficult, but sometimes you need to walk on a tree trunk to pass the river or jump between rocks. The excursion is beautiful and the final waterfall is great! See more..

Spent 1-2 hours Points of Interest & Landmarks • Religious Sites
    Spanish Mosque image
The place is located up in the hill, so we need to hike for about 15 minutes to arrive at the mosque. The place was very clean and since we came in around 4pm, it was not packed with people yet, because people usually came to watch the sunset. But for my experience, the view was great. We can see the whole town, looking blue, and very nice. It also a highly recommended instagramable photo spot. They don’t have sign to direct us towards the hiking trail, so we asked many people along the way. See more..

    - Worth visiting
    Tuesday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent < 1 hour Religious Sites
    Moshe Nahon Synagogue image
The only synagogue left and open to public in the neighbourhood. Not easy to find, at the end of an alleyway, but so much worth it! The Muslim guardian will see you arrive and open the gate, and even guide you through the place with interesting and nice explanations. I have been to Israel, and despite that it has probably been my favourite synagogue ever! After the visit you leave a donation. See more..

  25. 4.5 Feddan Park Tetouan (24 reviews)
    - Probably the best view of Tetouan..
Spent 1-2 hours Points of Interest & Landmarks
    Feddan Park Tetouan image
Just outside the Medina but only just, with Bab Tut gate a two minute walk away. Views can be obtained of the White Dove by just casually sitting on the bench and looking up at the continuous white buildings with the mountain as a gorgeous back drop. The park is not a green park itslef, but a complete pedestrian zone that encounters mainly locals enjoying social time. Not too sure of its construction but it seems fairly new and gladly not ultra modern with plenty of arabic design evident to see. Such as mosaic tiling on the benches and floor, also situated in the middle is a white sheltered arch that has a a definition but not in English, and palm trees that cover the radius of the park. Came here in the day and felt completely safe. Hardly any tourists here which is definitely the case of missing Tetouan's hidden gem.. See more..
  26. 4.0 Hercules Cave (1.880 reviews)
    - Super views
    Caverns & Caves
    Hercules Cave image
Did Hercules rest here? Who knows the truth…but the legend does make for a more interesting visit. It is said that the cave was discovered several thousand years ago and made larger by locals who carved bits of the stone for their own use at home. Walk down the sloped cobblestones to the inside of the rock and you’ll be treated to a truly special view of the ocean. Good walking shoes are a must and those who have trouble walking should take care. It is worth it for the view. Outside there is a plaza with some restaurants and restrooms - you’ll be asked for a euro to use them by the old woman stationed there. Lots of cats wander around as well, likely fed by tourists and the trash bins from the restaurants. Interesting place! See more..
  27. 4.0 Medina of Tangier (1.874 reviews)
    - Great time in the Medina with Local guide!
Tuesday: 1:00 AM - 11:00 AM Spent More than 3 hours Neighborhoods • Points of Interest & Landmarks
    Medina of Tangier image
We had a fantastic time exploring Tangier with a local (I think by the name of Hashim, I wish I knew how to spell his name- he was wonderful) He was friendly, patient, funny, and knowledgeable- and he took us to the most AMAZING restaurant. We would have gotten so lost in the beautiful but confusing maze of Tangier if not for his help, so I would recommend anyone visiting the city to call him at 00 212 698 3813. He showed us not only the touristy destinations, but the lesser known local gems of the city that we (a group of 5 American tourists) would not have been able to find if not for him. As for the Medina, it has incredible handcrafted goods sold for very cheap. Leather goods, art, delicious food, and creams/oils that would cost 10 times as much in the United States. Everybody was incredibly friendly and I would highly recommend trying the orange juice just about anywhere in Tangier. See more..
  28. 4.0 Cap Spartel (873 reviews)
    - Very relaxing, loved the park
    Points of Interest & Landmarks
    Cap Spartel image
It's hard to imagine spending hours looking at a light house, but there is a lot more to this site. I loved the park and actually returned to it the day after my official tour day. It was a great way to escape the heat of the city in July. There are places to eat/get a drink, places to walk and enjoy the ocean view. For me, the lighthouse was a small part of this excursion. Many locals hang out here in the park and that's my favorite tourist activity--hang out, get to know locals. For a non-pushy, knowledgeable guide to show you around here, you can contact Nabil of Tangier Private Customized Tours (on TA) or on whatsapp at +212 700 704 644. You will see some amazing estates on the way to the cape! See more..
  29. 4.0 Tangier Casbah (780 reviews)
    - The Casbah of Tangier is still a wonderful neighborhood full of history, charm and working families
Tuesday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Historic Sites • Points of Interest & Landmarks
    Tangier Casbah image
Cant express the ammount of history here, walk along the seaside walls, enjoy the museum for a fair entry price filled with artifacts and architecture going back to the Romans. Dont be afraid to just wander and get lost, the local are helpful and the alleys will lead you somewhere that connects to where you want to go. Lots of shops with drinks and food. Sometimes there will be a overly helpful man who wants to guide you, It may seem like they are pushy but in all reality you are the faucet of tourism that has been a part of this communities survival for hundreds of years, so being rude is a no no. politely look in their eyes and tell them no you are not interested or tell them yes, give them a few dirhams and meet a new friend who will proudly share their neighborhood history. Walk Tangier! See more..
