This is the 3rd time I have worked with Allal at Desert Dream - his company provides reliable travel support in Morocco. Based out of Ouarzazate they are experts in providing transfers to Marrakesh and Saharan trips. They have ferried me around for sports-based activities previously but this time we went for a guided trip which was excellent and insightful. Our driver Mohammed was an expert at the wheel and we travelled some lesser-known back roads we would never have gone down otherwise. Our guide Bachir was knowledgeable and patiently helped our daughter overcome her fear of the camel ride. In particular, his knowledge of Nomad culture and local interest made the trip a stand out. We had the best time travelling around Morocco with our guide Ali, we travelled for 4 days starting in Casablanca finishing in Marrakech. Highlights were the Sahara desert camel ride and walking through the Danes Gorge. Ali in particular was a great driver but also a fantastic person with great local knowledge and a wicked sense of humour, which made it all the more fun. Merzouga is the gateway to the Erg Chebbi dune. It's a really beautiful and unique experience. I really recommend sleeping at Merzouga Activities Camp, the place is located very close to the dunes, it has a very personal feeling and it is very nice. The price is very reasonable, the place is clean, breakfast and dinner were very good, the staff is very helpful and nice. In the evening they play music by the fire, they organized us a sunset camel trip, a half day excursion with a jeep around the area. They gave us a great and welcoming feeling. Our magical holiday started at the Marrakech airport when we met our driver/ guide / now Moroccan friend (Hassan Amraoui) and finished in the same place after 8 days.…Marrakech, Ouarzazate, Boumalne Dades, Merzouga, Atlas Mountains, Fes, Marrakech. Hassan organized the entire trip for us. He introduced us into Moroccan and Berber culture. The location were fabulous for all the nights and the people were so welcoming. What to say about the desert experience…it was an experience that must be done once in a lifetime. The landscape, the sand and the whole atmosphere is unreal and magical, there I’ve seen the best sky of my life, I had never seen such a sky full of stars. We did the camel trek to reach the desert camp, we saw wonderful sunset and sunrise and did snowboarding too. We ate a lot of good and tasty food! Hassan is very knowledgeable and trustworthy. He goes out of his way to make you feel at home, speaks several languages, and is always on time waiting for you. I highly recommend him for your next trip to Morocco. Myself and my partner booked the 4 day trip from Fez to Marrakech via the Merzouga dunes. This was the most rewarding part of our two week holiday in Morocco. Our guide, Mohammed, was a gentleman, extremely knowledgable, and friendly. His knowledge and understanding of his country and his ability to convey it to us made the trip all the more special. We were introduced to local guides that Mohammed had rang ahead to prebook us with - all of which were outstanding. We were treated with respect and a smile from everyone. Mohammed was perhaps the most well known man in Morocco and everyone it seemed was happy to see us - We were given free dates as we passed in traffic through his home town by locals who recognised him. He spoke truthfully and honestly about his local village and each village we passed, highlighting the realities for all aspects of society in Morocco, all with such positivity and pride. He took an effort to get to know us, and in four days we became excellent friends. He is a credit to himself and an invaluable asset to Desert Majesty. We met with Felicity who greeted us warmly and endeavoured to find out about our trip and made sure we had been well taken care of. All correspondence with Desert Majesty was quick, informative, and detailed. We paid in full prior to departure (a decision I made to limit the amount of cash on me in person) which according to Felicity is rare in her experience, but I have no issues with recommending any future traveller to do the same - This is a company I will definitely return too and highly recommend to anyone. When planning our trip to Morocco I searched incessantly for a tour to the desert. There are a lot of companies to search for, and we just didn’t wanted another thing the same, or to seat on a crowded bus for hours. When I finded the Camel Trekking company I knew it was the one. We did a private tour, but even the shared ones look amazing, since they are for 6 people maximum in a comfortable vehicle. We did 3 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakesh and it was amazing! From the beginning, our email conversation with Omar was without problems, he even reassured us that he would refund us our deposit if we could not come (we live in UK and direct flights were banned after we book the trip- our flights were cancelled, even), but we came! Everyone was very attentive with us, specially when my husband fell quite ill in the desert and for the rest of our tour. Everyone made extra effort to give him tea, rice, bread and fruits so he could manage to eat something. Omar and our driver Abdul made sure we would have some medicaments for my husband to feel better, and thank you, from our hearts, for that. Tour was amazing, special thanks to our driver Abdul who explained us so many things and showed us so many places. The tour is amazing and is a must if you come to Morocco. Landscape in the desert is so, so mesmerising, the experience in the desert near Merzouga was fantastic, we ride a camel, ride quads, we saw the sunset and sunrise in the desert and so many other things The camping in the desert was so special, and the hotel for the second night in dades gorges was superb! If you are looking to book a tour to the desert: look no more, because we recommend Camel Trekking 2000% Also they don’t take you to these scams shops that think we are rich just because we are visiting, and this means a lot. How luck were we to find Alecia and Travel Exploration Morocco! We are seasoned travelers and mostly prefer to make our own arrangements, but we then splurge on private tours in the cities that we visit. We booked Travel Exploration Morocco for Jewish Heritage walking tours in Essaouira, Marrakech and in Fes, with Rachida, Zoubida and Kakim, respectively. They were all friendly , kind and knowledgeable. It always seemed, as we walked through the different medinas, that they knew everyone, with many greetings and embraces that told us that they were truly a part of the landscape. Their love of their country and Islam was apparent, but they were also well versed on Judiasm and the history of the Jewish people in Morocco. We had many liively conversations with each of them about the similarities between Islam and Judaism. Their drivers were also amazing, always magically appearing the second we emerged from whatever site we were visiting, in comfortable and immaculate air-conditioned minivans, complete with snacks and a cooler full of water. Everything was great! Very chill place with awesome hosts. I was free to walk by myself in the dunes for the sunset before going back to the camp and share the meal with other guests. Last September I went with Vacanze Nel Deserto from Marrakech to Erg Chabbi with my friend and daughter. I have to say that this trip went far above my expectations. Recommend trip to morocco with the camel ride in to the camp. This experience exceeded our expectations - it really is a luxury camp - the tent room was spacious and had a shower, flushing toilet and wash basin. This 4-story ancient synagogue was such a rich experience because a young Jewish BerBere guide took us through the labyrinth. This is not a place for a bus load of tourists.….
