Trip to the Tinfou dunes

This is the 3rd time I have worked with Allal at Desert Dream - his company provides reliable travel support in Morocco. Based out of Ouarzazate they are experts in providing transfers to Marrakesh and Saharan trips. They have ferried me around for sports-based activities previously but this time we went for a guided trip which was excellent and insightful. Our driver Mohammed was an expert at the wheel and we travelled some lesser-known back roads we would never have gone down otherwise. Our guide Bachir was knowledgeable and patiently helped our daughter overcome her fear of the camel ride. In particular, his knowledge of Nomad culture and local interest made the trip a stand out.

    Unforgettable experience!
Me and my partner did the “little discovery” 3-day tour and it was an incredible experience! It was just the two of us with the driver Mohamed and the guide Bachir! Both of them were really sweet and welcoming! We did not want to leave them at the end of the trip! They became our friends now! The tour was very well structured considering it was only 3 days and it enabled us to see both the Atlas Mountains and the desert (most of the tours make you choose between the 2 experiences...) which is a great plus! The owner of the agency was always available to answer all our questions and to facilitate the payment for the tour! He booked for us 2 hotels along the way (one in the mountains and one in the desert) and were both amazing! The food in the first hotel “Chez Ichou” in the mountains was great (and we are Italians). Concerning the desert camp, we were the only guests in the camp and that made the experience amazing! We felt like we were in a honeymoon! In the desert we rode camels, saw the sunrise and did sandboarding! Bachir is from the Sahara desert so is very knowledgeable and was able to share with us the Moroccan culture! We felt we lived in Morocco for few days... it was unforgettable! The only downside is that the tour is a bit pricey for 2 people and that perhaps a 3-day tour is quite hectic (a lot of hours of driving) but totally worth it and very easy to organize! Flavia ❤️

A night in the dessert, and one to remember.
We took the two day one night Sahara tour fromOuarzazat . We had a 4x4 with driver, Muhamad and a guide, Bashir. Though the long drives to and from are hard, the topography and beauty was well worth it. Stunning views fro the valley and mountains a real treat, awe inspiring. We stopped for a great lunch at the same place each way and the service and food were excellent. The desert itself is remarkable, the camel ride safe, fun and unique, the camp is basic but clean and well equipped. Dinner and breakfast were both good snd the night fire with Berber music was a good end to the day. The driver managed the trip very well, stopped when he knew a good spot for the photo op, snd any time we requested. A good driver, and a respectful person. Our guide was well informed, happy and proud to show us the sights and inform us about the Berber culture snd the places we visited, Bashir spoke good English, and French, and went beyond guide, informing us about life in Morocco from many points of view. We found good value for the price, and there was no pressure to sign up, or trying us to take a longer trip. One caution, Feb nights are cold in the desert, days warm, so dress accordingly .
