One of the best experiences of my life. Taking a trip out into the Sahara with Salah and team was something we’ll never forget. Rolling into M’hamid you feel like you’ve gone as far as possible but Bivouac Sous Etoiles unlocks the secrets that lie beyond. The camp and night at the dunes was great but don’t sleep on the drive out. Going through the rugged Saharan landscape and learning about the ecosystem and nomad life from Salah was transformative. Not to mention the Tuareg music on the radio and at camp has been played over and over on my Spotify at home! Last but not least, the view from the top of Erg Chigaga at sunset was *chef's kiss*. We were lucky to travel to morocco in May after getting the vaccine and we were their 4th trip since COVID. It was a pleasure to have our first desert experience with Abdo and Ismail. We were there for 3 days and it's maybe a little short, but we experienced in this time a camel ride in the big sand dunes to go to see the beautiful sunset together, had the opportunity to take the two sandboards and ride the big sand dunes and slept under the most beautiful sky ive ever saw in my life. The food was traditional, very good and in the evening we had a bonfire and we listened to the music the guys made and it was a beautiful atmosphere. We did a 4 days, 3 nights tour from Marrakesh to erg chegaga and back. I was surprised with the car, which is nice, a Toyota land cruiser. It was very confortable with a/c. I asked Youness, the owner, a few adjustments in the itinerary and he glady accepted it. So, we saw kasbah tamnougalt, which is not very touristy. It was nice. The driver, Abdul, was very friendly and drove very well. The erg chegaga dunes were amazing. Overall the tour with caravane du grand erg was great and I recommend it. See more..

We had a wonderful experience in the desert with Wild Morocco and highly recommend them! Their staff are friendly, helpful and thoughtful, the food is absolutely wonderful,and the tents and beds very comfortable. Our guided two hour walk through the desert was absolutely breath-taking after which we had tea in a nomad’s camp! It was a fabulous experience! We ended the day with a camel ride to a high dune to watch the sunset and then another delicious dinner followed by Berber drumming and singing. It was a memorable visit to a very special place!! We were so thankful to have found Ali to help us with our trip in Morocco. All of the people we met on our trip, those working at the Riad, those driving us to and from the desert, those who helped us through the desert, they were all so kind and really added a special something to our trip. We've heard that the desert can be a busy place with lots of tourists, but we didn't see anyone except the group that was starting their journey in the desert with Ali while we were ending ours. This really gave us the ability to appreciate the immensity of the desert as well as its beauty. We loved hiking through the desert, we loved the food, Mouloud is a very good cook, and we loved falling asleep under the stars after seeing the sun fall over the desert that seemed to be ours entirely. We had a 4 days trip starting from Marrakech in 4x4 toyota including grand Atlas, small Atlas , visit to Draa’s Iasis one night in Mhamid camp inside desert and following night at Erg Chcaga camp with its high sand dunes and last nightbin Ait ben Addu. M’bark and Ismail are desert natives, their fathers were nomads that latter on settled in Mhamid, so organisation and experience were highly valuable. On their site they different packages but you can accomodate your needs or create your trip from zero. Responsibeness to emails and on whatsapp are prompt. Any offer is tailor made on people phisical condition or need with care to guests. Getting in/out erg chicaga on tracks route is woderful, you pass through different types of deserts, we enjoyed the Colorado desert with its beautiful mountain while oassing through a former lake that now is full desert. I cannot recommend Mint Surf enough. Courtney was a fantastic host, always on hand to help you, give recommendations and show you the area. The surf instructors were also amazing. Friendly and so knowledgeable of the beaches and waves that you felt completely safe in the water at all times. They gave you great feedback and lots of encouragement so you continually saw progress in your surfing. Before the trip I'd only had one or two lessons (so still very much a beginner) and by the end I was standing up consistently, with stability and learning how to turn, speed up and slow down. Our group was mixed ability with some experienced surfers and they made sure to cater to everyone's ability and take us to locations where both beginners could learn safely and experienced surfers could catch some great waves. I've got the bug for surfing now and will definitely go back to Taghazout and the Mint Surf team! See more..

Such a great horseriding holiday! We (4 friends) booked a guided horseriding trip with 6 days of riding. The tour was custom made, with 2 days of riding in the mountains and 4 days in the desert, on the beaches and along a river. Noura is a wonderful guide and made sure we were having fun along the way. All of the places we stayed overnight were great, with nice hosts and good food! We had lots of Moroccan tea and experienced the authentic Morocco. The horses were well-trained for trail riding, easy-going and responsive but still fast :). Can highly recommend going on a trip with Noura, Floran and Anas! See more..

We had a great 4 day tour of Morocco from Marrakech with a fantastic driver Mohammed, organised by the very responsive Linda. The tour is very good value with tasty Moroccan meals and generally high quality accomodation booked for you. Highlight was Dar Blues in the valley of the roses (wish we could have stayed 2 nights!). Bear in mind if you book late some of the best accomodation may already be booked out, so try book as early as possible to get the high quality accomodation. The driver was extremely safe, friendly, warm and trustworthy, and definitely suggest asking to be taken to the local restaurants for lunch which were delicious and food was safe/ clean. Linda was also very easy to communicate with. Bear in mind that to see the Sahara, Atlas Mountains, valley of the roses etc each day has many hours of driving (some of which at very high altitude on winding roads) so if you get carsick it may be challenging. We looked for a 2-day, 1-night trip from Marrakech to dunes with our 6 and 9 yr old kids. Abdoul set us up perfectly - our driver Ibrahim was a great chauffeur and guide. The camels and camping with Berbers was amazing. Everything was perfect (except the temperature at 6am in the tent but bring warm clothing!). So much so that I can confidently say anyone booking his tours would also feel the same. He has all the climbs’s nuances and their grades memorized. I recently visited Amazir Cheval to go horse riding whilst on holiday in Taghazout. I had such a fantastic ride the first time round… I went back again! The horses are lovely, in good condition and are kind rides. Due to being trekking horses they are very sure footed on difficult terrain which makes for some excellent riding / scenery as you trek through the hills down to the beach. One day we galloped along the beach which was utterly exhilarating and fantastic, the second day due to the tide being in we swam with the horses which was great fun. We had a great time during our 2- weeks- trip organized by Mohamed. Everything was organized very professional and I felt safe and shepherded all the time. Mohamed and his team with all the beautiful camels brought us to very beautiful and everyday different amazing landscapes. They know the desert and its life very well and we had the great chance to dive into this beautiful way of living. All of them are good people with a warm and open heart and their singing, laughing and making jokes touched my heart very deeply. The calmness and happyness all day long was astonishing. Thami was an excellent English speaking guide of the Taroudant area. It was my first visit and he took me to incredible authentic areas like the old Jewish quarters that I wouldn’t have found on my own. We sampled traditional food in the souks and ended at a wonderful local restaurant called Cafe Roma. I would highly recommend Thami for any expedition he offers in Morocco. This vacation was insane! The advantage of a guided tour from Marrakesh to Essaouira was that you never felt unsafe or alone. You were brought safely through the desert and had a local guide by your side. Ali deserves our biggest thanks at this point: he was attentive, funny but still very discreet and polite. We did a hot air balloon package with them and it was all worth it. They were the cheapest out of all the 3 companies that we talked to in the jemaa el fna area. Their office is conveniently located in jemaa el fna. Special shoutout to Abdul who works in their office. He is a very nice, welcoming and helpful guy. This trip was by far my top experience! From the moment of pick up at the airport, our tour guide (Khalil) was extremely friendly and professional. We were in constant communication prior to the trip which eased my fears going abroad. I definitely recommend this private tour because there’s so much more you can get from the experience that you wouldn’t get on a large tour bus. I went with two of my girlfriends and had a great time. We traveled from CasaBlanca to Marrakech but each day we stayed at a different raid or hotel which was a great experience to see something new each day. Since it was a private tour, many times you can choose to stop at shops or market places or ofcourse take photos(: we also went camel back riding at the Sahara and ATV riding in Marrakech. The food is great, lovely culture, people and country. If you are looking for an adventurous, exotic, Yet relaxing- girls or couples trip? I definitely recommend this trip. The promenade is wide so no bumping into people or swerving to get around them, it was lovely to be able to walk along at leisure and enjoy the beach and sea. You do get sellers touting sun glasses, bracelets, etc, but I didn't find any of them offensive or too pushy. Most of them wished you a nice day if you simply gave them a firm "no thanks". There are a few restaurants/cafes along the way if you want to stop for a coffee or a bite to eat. From Riu Tikida Palace Hitel to the Marina, it took approx. 30 minutes walking, at a leisurely pace. It is the best attraction in the area. Unfortunately, most people drive only the first 24 kms from the intersection. You should make an effort and continue all the way to Mesmrir (about 60 kms) and if you can not, do drive at least 35 kms. the Gorge is magnificent. See more..

We visited Todra Gorge on a Sunday in March 2022. Our tour guide drove us from the palm tree overlook, down through a town, and then we walked through the gorge. With some photo stops, it took us about 30 minutes to walk from end to end. There are rug sellers and children playing in the river. The gorge's canyon walls are stunningly high, and you feel comfortably cut off while walking around. Very little harassment from rug sellers, just keep on walking with a "la shukran." See more..
