The bridge was initially built in the 1700s during the reign of the Qing Dynasty and was added on to in the 1800s becoming a 17 arch bridge. No motorized traffic is allowed now. It is considered one of the 10 most beautiful bridges in China. The setting is beautiful and I had a clear day to see it and walk across. It is named Double Dragon Bridge because of the two rivers that meandered like dragons across the landscape and join near the bridge.See more..
This is the village where The Linden Centre is located. If you are not staying at the Linden Centre you should really come here for a day to explore the narrow alleyways, the old houses and of course to visit the Linden Centre for lunch or a tea on their amazing back terrace. The village has a really good morning market every morning and if you hire bikes or a horse and cart you could do a nice trip down the the tongue of Er Hai lake and explore some other villages on your way.See more..

We loved this quiet ancient town. Free village to roam around for a half day. Although the main "mansion" is no longer open for tours you can walk around the walled gate and see inside to the courtyards. The wall is only about 4 feet tall. Around he back of this mansion you can see a cool red temple across the river. We did not have time to go tour it but it looked interesting. The residents of the town were all very friendly and willing to talk if you know some Mandrin. We were invited into a courtyard to chat with a family opening up a hotel there. If I ever find myself back in Tengchong I will definitely return and stay at a hotel in this area!!See more..

We started our walk at the Anning Spa Retreat. It was a short walk up the hill, well a bit longer than short. We were going to the temple on the Sunday to have lunch with the Monks. It was pleasant walking up the hill, looking out over Anning through the trees. The temple was kinda busy, with many people coming to have lunch there. Not necessarily with the monks but just to have a picnic style lunch. The temple is not that big and there was new building being constructed up the back. Lunch was good and vegetarian. After lunch we walke back down the road with a 80+ year old chinese woman who does he walk every Sunday.See more..

Yunyyan Stupa is not a particuarly interesting place. While the stupa itself is beautiful on a blue sky day, I would not take time to come and visit unless I was already in the area for other reasons. It is set in a wooded park, which is unfortuantly not well maintained, with a lot of rubbish scattered around when I visitied in November 2015. But it does offer some pleasent views over Yingjiang Town and surrounding mountains, which may be of interest, but are again nothing spectacular. The stupa is also a 15 minute walk from Leyuan Temple, which is to the south. It is a small temple, but when combined with a visit to Yunyan Stupa, may make the outing more worth it.See more..

Amazing blend of Mountain and Lake , this is one of the most beautiful hidden places in China that yet to be explored. To Cut short , once you"re in YongSheng ancient city, there are many village which most of the household there have their own plantation of corn,pear,mango,apple,rice , and also mix of chicken,cow,goat ! What you will see here and change your daily life is how simple yet warm they enjoy their daily life with lack of clean water supply, no proper bathing especially hot water during winter, lighting, for most of the villages, visited a few of the schools there and my dear the kids there is very charming and yet Need lots of basic necessity help from us who is living in so much more better world . This attraction is free but you can no longer enter to tour. Our driver called some people in the town and they informed us about this change. It is still nice to walk around and you can see quite a lot. Very well preserved for an ancient mansion in China. It is also at the beginning of the Qiluo Ancient Town which is an amazing place to walk around if you like architecture and friendly people. See more..
