We was travelling around Brazil for the World Cup and whilst staying in Belo Horizonte, we popped over to Ouro Preto. I noticed this place on the way with its American school buses and a small Christ the redeemer statue. I made a note to pop in on the drive back. What a good decision this was. This place is just jaw dropping. The collection of memorabilia, art, books and general old stuff is staggering. Many things I used to own in my younger days and so on. We spent a couple of hours taking everything in and has to be one of my favourite moments during our one month stay in Brazil. I don't know who the owner is but I would like to say Thank you for sharing your collection and letting us wonder freely around this awesome place you have.See more..

Coordenadas: -21.425500, -43.673080See more..
4.0Casa Pele(89 reviews) - Interesting and very humble Speciality Museums
We visited Pelé's house on our way to Belo Horizonte (World Cup Game Brasil 1 x Germany 7). It was very interesting visit. Free admission and spotless place. Museum personnel did not speak English, but were out of this world helpful, friendly and tried very hard to show the house to us. They pointed to the boards explanation on the walls of each room that are in English and were willing to assist us with pictures on the outside premisses. Inside photos are not allowed and they were very sweet on the way they explained it. They were very glad to see that I spoke Portuguese and could translate to my friends all that they were explaining to me and others at the house. After that a ton of extra information was offered about the house, people that lived there and Pele's history. Your visitation will take the most 20 minutes. Make sure your have a well printed road way or web maps on how to get there. Pele's House is not at GPS points of interest and the locals could not explain us very well on how to get there. We drove in circles for while till a Taxi Diver told us on how to get there. It is wheel chair accessible using the walk side entrance, and baby strollers are accepted inside as well. If you visit during november... visit the trees outside and enjoy a little bit of Jabuticaba (Brasilian fruit) it is very sweet. Enjoy your visit. I will be back!See more..
