Great Museum
The MM Gerdau - Museu das Minas e do Metal , part of the "Liberty Square Cultural Circuit", was designed to highlight the remarkable relations between the history and the cultural expressions of the State of Minas Gerais, with the wealth of its mines and natural resources, and even to celebrate the identity of the State and its people. The Museum presents a process that translates the formation and the development of a region, revealing two of the main economic activity of Minas Gerais: mining and metallurgy.

nice place
we were there for a special afternoon. they had a workshop for children. kids produced paper toys and then saw a play

One of the best museums in Belo Horizonte
This is one of the best museums we have in Belo Horizonte. It does show a lot about Minas Gerais´ history with many interactive attractions such as videos. There is one very nice attraction which you feel like you are inside a mine. It is a great experience for those who enjoy to know a little bit about history. I am not a very fan of museums but this one I think you MUST go!
