Museum visit
What an excellent museum! A genuinely charismatic story telling guide who managed to cram in details of the political, religious, slave, gold, stone masonry history of Ouro Preto and Minas Gerais. Highly recommended

Historic farm-house
The "casa dos Incofidentes" with its premises as well as with its interior provides an excellent example of a "chácara", a major farmhouse, well-to-do town-dwellers used to own in the surroundings of Ouro Preto. Not expect a luxurious 18th century mansion - the tremendous amount of gold found in Ouro Preto enriched others.
