The architecture by Oscar Neymeir is fantastic. The Pampulha Museum is very nice and I had the opportunity to see a contemporary performance there. I think if you are in BH you can't miss this place at all. See more..

I've been visiting a lot of churches in Ouro Preto and Sao Joao del Rei and definitively this is the most beautiful that I have ever seen! Very preserved, with huge cristal chandeliers. It is free to visit it. Go at night! In addition, there is a small square in front of the church with pubs and small restaurants with a good environment! Don't miss this visit!!See more..
Every Saturday the Mercado dos Tropeiros opens its doors to traditional crafts and delicacies. There's always live music and the unavoidable 'stupidly cold' beer. Lately, local breweries are also offering their exquisite blends. Not many places to sit, though. The building itself is a delight. Used originally by the troopers from the early 20th Century, it has been turned into a cultural area after those fearless merchants were replaced by the train.See more..
4.5Nossa Senhora do Carmo Church(442 reviews) - My wedding happened here Architectural Buildings • Churches & Cathedrals
A Portuguese rococo style church. With ornaments, paints and sculptures from this period. It was the church that my husband and I chose to do our wedding. It's beautiful, clean (for the period) and elegant. If you are visiting SJDR, this church is worth a visit. It will give you the idea of the period when this city was a rich and active place of mining and rural production in Brazil.See more..

A unique home where the only rule is to let your imagination take you. A very cool playful proposal where children and adults interact with creative games, animated circuits, storytelling, paintings, juggling, fantasies and much more. The house also has a small shop well equipped with toys and creative games ready to take home. An activity for the whole family, prepare a couple of hours of your day the children will love it. Congratulations to the whole team, we hope to return to Tiradentes next time. Our tip is to have lunch at the Angela's seasoning restaurant, which is a few kilometers ahead, heading towards Bichinho.See more..

This small church overlooks the city. You reach it by climbing a series of very steep streets and steps. The view from the church's front steps is beautiful. The interior is filled with light despite being rather narrow. There are many colorful niches dedicated to various saints. There is also a chapel that houses a beautiful statue of Our Lady of Mercy. Next to the church there is also a small cemetery, where many important local people are buried.See more..

4.5Teatro Municipal(98 reviews) - Another small architectural gem in Ouro Preto Architectural Buildings
It's been practically rebuilt and it's functioning normally as an actual theatre, but the place is 100% a museum in itself. It stays open with only a student as a porter but that's what's best about visiting it: the tourist is left alone to walk around everywhere, so go up stage (pretend you're an attraction and test the incredible acoustics by asking your friends to stay at different seats while you sing something), go up and down and inside everywhere (the place is pretty small)!
