Amazing public building architecture
On Sundays, the public can learn about the history of Minas Gerais told from its political life. The central building of the architectural ensemble of the Liberty Square, the Palace was built in eclectic style with neoclassical influences. Opened in 1897, the building served as home to several governors.

Just relax and enjoy the view
Its a park to sit and relax. It just happens to be that there is always something fun happening in this place everytime you go there. Natives tend to use it for fitness excersises whilst others like to display their craft there

Unfortunately it's closed!
A beautiful palace in french tradition. Beautiful decor from the beginning of the XX century. It's free, has beautiful gardens, but currently is closed by the current state administration. Why? Who knows. I hope it reopens soon, but I am not holding my breath. Belo Palácio em moda francesa. Belíssima decoração e móveis. Costumava ser de graça, mas foi fechado pela administração Pimentel. Por quê? Boa pergunta. Dizem que vai reabrir, mas eu esperaria sentado.
