This place was amazing! First of all, we had to be re-booked due to a thunderstorm during our initial booking time and the woman on the phone was very accommodating and kind about it. When we arrived the following morning for our tour we were impressed with the inside of the building. It was all very chic-western and had a small cafe where you could order coffee or snacks. All the staff we interacted with were beyond kind and friendly. One of the pilots even gave our two small children each their own little helicopter toy which they loved. While we waited our turn for a helicopter we could go outside to the balcony to see the other helicopters land and take off. The pilot during our flight was also very friendly and explained everything we were seeing out the window. We would highly recommend this is place to anyone looking to take a helicopter tour of the Black Hills!See more..

We did the Bison tour for my sons birthday. It was exceptional. Our tour guide Charlie was amazing! He was so thoughtful and educational, even brought my son cupcakes for his birthday! We saw Bison, antelope, long horns, deer, Prairie dogs and even fed the burrows! I couldn’t recommend this tour or Charlie enough!!See more..

Six adults traveled to Rapid City and hired John as our tour guide for three full days. What a great experience it was. From the time of our first telephone call to John until he dropped us off for the final time at the hotel, John was amazing, thorough and available. John was with us and toured us on their three most popular tours. We were absolutely please with the professionalism John showed us each day. He was always on time and was a mountain of information. He is extremely knowledgeable about the history, geological nature of the area and full of facts and stories about this area. Definitely want this on your list of things to do in South Dakota. We flew into Rapid City & drove an hour to ride horseback on this postcard property next to the Badlands with Casey & her wonderful horses. They are calm, easy riding horses. I rode on Ann and I hadn't rode in 25 yrs! I can't say enough about the beauty of the interior. Casey talked with us thru the ride with some history of the land. We put this near the top of our 4-day adventures in SD!See more..

My husband and I had the great pleasure of being flown by Petra Wilson and crew this morning as the sun rose in the distance. What an incredible intimate experience. I felt safe the entire flight and Petra was very knowledgeable and friendly. It was nice to have the basket to ourselves so we could truly share the incredible experience together. The scenery was beautiful and we saw wildlife. She took some great pictures of us in the air and shared them afterwards. The chase team worked together like synchronized swimmers, it was really cool watching them work. Afterwards there was a post flight celebration with libations/apple juice and goodies to be enjoyed while Petra explained the history of Ballooning. Fantastic! Absolutely worth the money and time. My 2015 South Dakota pheasant hunting experience with Potters Fields was outstanding. This is the second time to Potters Fields for me and my party. Zach and his family made us feel like a part of the family. We came for a 4 day 4 night hunt. Our quest was to hunt the wild native pheasants and that we did. The owners were extremely nice and accommodating. We finished a great day on the water by limiting out on walleye with our guide. Our guide was excellent, the accommodations were clean and very well kept. After fishing on the boat during the morning and early afternoon, we decided to go night fishing along Lake Francis Case. The owner went out of his way to get my son and I some fishing gear for our last-minute night excursion. Highly recommended for a weekend walleye fishing getaway!See more..

Myself and my wife did the ride with the locals bike run on the first day. First off in my opinion they are not experienced riders, also it was very unorganized. They had us all meet in terms court parking lot, and people were constantly getting left behind because the leaders would blow through lights when the lights were yellow instead of stopping which in turn caused some who were in rear to catch the red light,,then instead of them pulling over they just kept going. They would switch lanes and go around other cars and bikes, it's like hello you do have other bikes that are on the run here. Then they did not keep to the original route, they took us to this bar that they knew the owners which was not on the route , I think they did that to make them money off us and to kiss up to them. Then they had us back tracking on the same road we already were on all because they wanted to stop at the bar there friends owned unreal. Then at the end we were all supposed to meet at a park down town which no one knew where it was at, so unorganized. People got lost because again the leader would blow through lights and others would get stuck at the red light. I have been riding for 30 years and this was by far the worst , unorganized, run I was ever on. What a waste of my time and money.See more..
Steve and everyone at the Lodge do an incredible job of providing a memorable experience. I have returned numerous occasions and will continue to do so as I look forward to this weekend every year. The lodge is top notch, as well as the 5 star quality of food served 3 times a day. I highly recommend for anyone looking to chase roosters on the prairie of SD.
