- 5.0 Sunday Gulch Trail (119 reviews)
-Start counter-clockwise!
Spent 2-3 hours Scenic Walking Areas
We hiked this trail going counter-clockwise, that way you do the hard part at the beginning when your legs are still strong, and go down in the hard areas. When we did it, it was wet and there was some ice in the trail, so be extra careful. The trail in itself is great, not your typical trail, lots of rock scrambling, and at the end great views of the canyon. We are in our 60s and were able to do it this way. See more..
- 4.5 Buffalo Gap National Grassland (29 reviews)
-Crowd Free
Scenic Walking Areas
The grassland gives a person a chance to get away from the crowded roadways to get the real feel of being home on the range. We spent most of a day in places where you heard/seen no other people. No vehicle noise. No people. One rancher flew a small plane to survey his cattle. 5 minutes of airplane noise and he was gone. I find the plains/prairie to be a spectacular, beautiful region! - 4.5 Avenue Of Flags (21 reviews)
-Patriotic Walk
Scenic Walking Areas
The pageantry of the walk up to the monument is accented by the Avenue of Flags. Will get your patriotic blood flowing as the backdrop is an amazing walk. Fun to watch as families and kids found their home state flag and took pictures along the way (so did we!) See more..
- 5.0 Breezy Point Picnic Area (13 reviews)
-Peaceful. Beautiful.
Spent < 1 hour Lookouts • Scenic Walking Areas
My friend, who was our guide, made sure we stopped by her "secret stop." It's not really a secret, but it's a road less traveled, which makes it even more lovely. It's a simple path to a viewing area, with a few picnic tables, etc. It's just a beautiful place. See more..
- 5.0 Fall River Trail (1 review)
-Nice walk along the river thru town
Scenic Walking Areas
I had driven thru Hot SPirings 4 times before and finally decided to stay there and walk this trail. It goies along the Fall RIver which runs the length of the town. There is a nice waterfall and a gazebo with another spring along the way as well as small parks. Very nice. We met a local woman who said they will be improving along the river so it will be deven better in the future. See more..
