Peggy and her team were great. Coming from Florida we set up the trip well in advance towards the end of the season. The weather turned bad and we were a bit concerned. Peggy worked it so we could come in on another day and even though it was cold for us Floridians (48 degrees with wind), they made sure we were comfortable. The first few minutes out to the Black Hills was a little windy/cold, but our leader Randy took us on trails were the wind subsided and the view was amazing. We even saw some wild life while on the trail. It was really an experience for us city slickers from Tampa. Thanks for the memories and we will be back if we are back in SD! See more..

The views, the horse and Holly were perfect! Holly truly loves what she does and loves to share that joy with others. We took our girls for a ride and they are still talking about what all they learned from Miss. Holly! Holly was so gentle with teaching the girls more about horses and the land. By the end of the ride they were so comfortable around the horses and talking with Holly and taking care of the horses. We will be back again to ride and learn more. See more..

Andy’s Trail Rides was a great activity on our trip. We did a “sunset horseback ride” for two hours which is more than enough time to see all of the sights and sunset. Our guide was Jasmine and she was absolutely amazing. She was super friendly, had a lot of knowledge of the area, and was checking in with us during the duration of our ride to make sure we felt comfortable. At some points, Jasmine asked if we wanted to did a little more of trotting and running in certain areas and we did what we were comfortable with at those points! We felt it was a very “personal” ride being that it was just us two and the guide which was awesome. I would recommend Andy’s Trail Rides! See more..

What a great day. Our kids had never been horseback, and Tammy and Katie were the ultimate in making them comfortable and making the ride enjoyable. My wife and I have been on trail rides before, and this was by far the best one. This was the highlight of our vacation and the kids are already asking if we can go back to the Hills and go horseback riding again. A huge thank you to Tammy, Katie, Peaches, Molly, Jade, and Jack!! It's been a long time since I was on a horse, but my daughter wanted to go for a trail ride in South Dakota. Canyon Ranch is a family fun for all ages. My daughter and I took a 1.5 hour excursion. Horses were gently and the ride well paced. What a great idea and experience. We will go back for another excursion. Amazing views. Beautiful location. Wow! Peaceful in an undeveloped landscape. Call in advance for a reservation and ask for directions. Take a map just in case the the GPS will lead you to the wrong place. See more..
