Bastei bridge is definitely a hidden gem - can be reached both two directions - from Rathen where you need to climb up or from a different side where you park at the top of the bridge (just a few minutes walk away from the car park). Beside the bridge however there are wonderful rock formations to admire connected by small "bridges" you can cross (this area costs 2 EUR at the moment, the rest of the park incl. Bastei are free of charge). It doesn't required above average physical effort. See more..

Fantastic park on the border beween Germany and Poland. The German part - about one third of the area - is more formal, the Polish part, to be reached - with no border formalities - via a couple of bridges - is hillier and less formal. Bikes are available on both sides, for the less mobile there are horse drawn carriages, which can be booked in advance. Cafe on the German side has snacks, soup, coffee and cake and icecream on the menu and friendly and helpful staff. See more..

We visited this place with our young boys (3 and 6 years) and they had the best time ever!!! It was fun and educational at the same time! They loved looking at the dinosaurs and playing at the numerous playgrounds, and digging in the sandpit for dinosaur teeth and our eldest tried rock climbing for the first time! I cannot recommend this place enough!! The tickets are really cheap for what you get. If you have young children visit this place! It is unmissable! See more..

I have to say it may br strange to visit a cemetery but it is worth the stop. I spent an more than an hour wandering and looking at the grounds a buildings. Many interesting sculptures and grave sites from sungle to family and even some Nazi markers that give pause to wonder. Worth the stop and next to the Leupzig memorial. See more..

It is something from dream, fairy-tails and fantasy. And of course the famous bridge. Plan your visit carefully (if you're without car). Pay attentions to the narrow railway's schedule. Wir haben einen sehr schönen Tag in diesem Park verlebt. Die Kinder konnten nach Herzenslust auf verschiedenen Hüpfburgen toben, schaukeln, klettern, Quad fahren und als absolutes Highlight Rehe streicheln. Der Park ist sehr abwechslungsreich aufgebaut, so dass keinerlei Langeweile aufkommen kann - außer am Imbiss. Imbissstände gibt es leider viel zu wenig und die Wartezeit ist extrem, wenn mehrere Kindergruppen vor einem versorgt werden müssen. Auch ist die Anzahl der Toiletten für diese vielen Menschen nicht ausreichend. Dennoch jederzeit wieder!

There is hardly anything left of the old once important cistercian abbey, so not much architecture to enjoy. The park is said to be nice, though, but there is a non-negligeable entrance fee (5€ per person or 7€ when combined with Castle Nossen nearby). There was a rock festival at the time of our visit, so we didn't fancy paying for a walk through the park while being blasted with rock music. Es gibt ein Wellenbad,ein Kinderbecken, eine Grotte,einen Wasserfall, Wasserrutschen für große und kleine Kinder. Die Temperatur beträgt 30-32 Grad in der Halle. Numerous cities in Germany do hold such a statue. In the city of Belgern you don't only see one of the largest statues of them on the market place in front of the city hall you can even see 14 copies of such statues from different cities. Sehr coole Sommerrodelbahn, mit einer sehr guten Länge und großem Spaßfaktor. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt. Vielleicht kann man noch bei den Fotos die Geschwindigkeit des Rodlers hinzufügen. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich. Neben der Rodelbahn, gibt es auf dem Gelände auch noch kleinere Fahrgeschäfte, die ebenfalls viel Spaß machen. Ich kann einen Besuch hier sehr empfehlen. Der Grünfelder Park entstand Ende des 18. Jahrhunderts, von Otto Carl Friedrich von Schönburg-Waldenburg angelegt. Diese englische Parkanlage erstreckt sich auf über 113 Hektar.

Ich begann meinen Weg an der Glänzelmühle, den Naturlehrpfad entlang. Vorbei kam ich an Mausoleum, Grotte, Gedenksteinen, Naturbühne…
Sehr schön ist das Areal um das Badehaus, worin sehr gern geheiratet wird.
Weiter führte mich der Weg durch ein Portal, entlang der Alleen am Grünfelder Schloss vorbei zum Gondelteich. In der Voliere waren leider derzeit keine Vögel zu sehen. See more..
