Set in a landscape of rolling hills about 100 m above the River Elbe lies Gross-Sedlitz Baroque Garden. In this spacious garden visitors can still promenade as in the days of Augustus the Strong. The original style of a French garden has merged with Italian influences, forming a truly unusual garden, in which visitors will find a variety of fountains, flower beds, sculptures and orangeries in an individual and yet harmonious combination.See more..

4.5Barockgarten Zabeltitz(7 reviews) - Lovely walks through the park and off the beaten track Spent 1-2 hours Gardens
I have been to another baroque garden in Saxony just a few days previously to my visit here and felt a little let down - mainly because I expected more of a baroque feeling - however this time around we where pleasantly surprised. The park itself is free to enter at any time and the walkways all lead to some lakes - one central and about 2-3 others that seem to be connected. There is a more formal part to the park with straight walkways and benches and a more informal part in the back. There are also two main buildings the "old palace" and the new Palais - but I visited on a Monday and both where closed - but I heard that the interior is well worth visiting. Overall a pleasant surprise in the Saxon country side.See more..
3.5Rolandpark Belgern(5 reviews) - Rolandpark in Belgern Spent < 1 hour Parks • Gardens • Playgrounds
Roland statues are a sign of some cities of Germany to show that the city has the right to be called "City" it is also a figure which should protect the city. Numerous cities in Germany do hold such a statue. In the city of Belgern you don't only see one of the largest statues of them on the market place in front of the city hall you can even see 14 copies of such statues from different cities. If you pass by the city of Belgern, it would be a pity not to spend 30 minutes to 1h so have a small walk around the Roland Park. And don't miss to visit the original Roland of Belgern in the city.See more..

See more..

See more..
