  2. 4.5 Oak Park (47 reviews)
    - Great nature walk

    Oak Park image
Oak park is my favorite place to bike or run in Minot. There are two many paths - a road open to cars and bikes with a one mile loop, and a bath restricted to foot traffic that goes a total of 1.4 miles. Lots of trees, and the foot path winds through a very secluded area. Wildlife includes plentiful geese and squirrels, and I've also seen raccoons and deer. See more..

  6. 4.5 Courts Plus Playground (12 reviews)
    - Great indoor playground for kids of all ages!
    Spent 1-2 hours Playgrounds
We went here as the weather was cold and we were in town on vacation and needed something for the kids to do. For $2 a kid (free for accompanying adults), kids can go into a climbing area with slides and paths and punching bags and a ton of other things. There is an area for adults to sit while the kids play and they do sell drinks in the entry area as well. You do not need to be gym members to go to playground portion. This was a great place for the kids to burn off energy! See more..
  7. 4.5 Larimore Dam (5 reviews)
    - Really good on a sunny day
Spent 2-3 hours Parks • Dams • Playgrounds
Larimore Dam is a 25 minute drive from the city of Grand Forks and offers a nice little park with a view over the actual dam. There is a huge field where one can play sports, and there is also a playground with different swings and slides, although it shows the wear of time. If you´re lucky you´ll see wild life such as deer and swans, but that all depends on the season. Larimore Dam also has bbqs, but remember to bring your own coal! Remember: bring a $5 note for the parking. See more..

After backcountry camping for a few weeks, tradition is we get pizza from Pizza Pie on the Fly and eat at the park. There are nice tables in the shade and plenty of garbage cans. It overlooks a sand volleyball court and an interesting veterans memorial. The kids really like the playground though they are starting to grow out of it. See more..
