Our Visitors Center, the "Grain Elevator," located at exit 348 of Interstate 94, has bushels of information, maps, brochures, and a gift shop. It is open year-round, so stop in and talk to our Visitor Center Travel Ambassadors. We provide free wifi and coffee for visitors...And the bathrooms are spick-and-span! The Fargo-Moorhead Visitors Center is also home to the woodchipper from the movie 'FARGO.' Stop by and have your photo taken with the infamous woodchipper! We provide the (fake) leg to complete the photo op. Be sure to see the Celebrity Walk of Fame outside our visitors center with star signatures and hand & foot prints in cement. See more..

  3. 4.5 Long X Trading Post Visitor Center (25 reviews)
    - So much more than a Visitor Center

Long X Trading Post Visitor Center image
This Visitor Center is so much more than a visitor center. Though it offers tourist information, the three floors of historical artifacts from the Watford City area are well worth seeing. It is free. Be sure to see the HUGE petrified wood inside near the entrance. It is open 10-5. Thursday is Dogs on the Deck (hot dogs, music, and fun) that benefit a different charity every week. In the rear of this building is a liquor store that has different hours. Wonder about the name? The Long X Trail was where 4000 longhorns were driven from Texas to this area in 1884. See more..

Bismarck-Mandan Convention and Visitors Bureau image
Located at 1600 Burnt Boat Drive in Bismarck, North Dakota, the Visitor Information Center and Genuine Dakota Gift Shop is part of the Bismarck-Mandan Convention and Visitors Bureau. The operator that day took some time to lay out a route to the nearby "Badlands". She unrolled a map, indicated places of interest along the way and answered every question. Her daughter was at the center that day and also gave some advice as to the drive ahead. The accompanying store/museum was interesting and could be an attraction on its own as it offers lots to see and learn about the region, and a selection of unique gifts that are available. See more..

  7. 4.0 Rosebud Visitor Center (1 review)
    - Rosebud lovingly restored back to original
Spent < 1 hour Visitor Centers
Touch a piece of history as you go through Valley City. Rosebud was an original rail car used in 1881 restored to it's former glory. Various items are on display also. There is also a scenic drive described here, and maps to guide you through. Nice little corner in a VERY beautiful city! What a surprise to see, and worth the stop. See more..
  8. 3.0 Pilot Flying J (1 review)
    - rest stop in Minot at Pilot Flying J
    Visitor Centers
Minot Pilot Flying J Travel Center is conveniently located with access off Highway 2 & 52. It is a large facility and makes a great stop for fuel, supplies and food, whether heading north on the way out of Minot or else passing through. Our tour bus made a rest stop so we could pick up snacks, drinks, Cinnabon or subs. There is also a food counter for picking up a variety of other foods to take with you, plus tables if you prefer to sit down for a while. There isn’t a large restaurant like some of the other Flying Js but this location definitely has a lot to offer. The bathrooms were clean. I was surprised at all the merchandise available including souvenirs, maps, health care products, snack foods, camping supplies, groceries and much more. See more..
