Battlefields
I visited the battlefield yesterday afternoon. It was a little confusing to find, but there are signs both wooden and metal now. It is set in a very pretty area near a large pond. There is a picnic table, two graves and the rock monument. The parking area is handy. The "Private Property Rules" signs are a little threatening. I don't know the whole story of why the property owner has posted such signs with lists, but I am sure he has his reasons. Still, they make a person uncomfortable as one expects to be yelled at for any number of imagined violations. Aside from the signs, I would recommend a visit to this battlefield. We can't let history be forgotten. See more..
