  1. 4.5 Bully Pulpit Golf Course (106 reviews)

The reviews I read were spot on. Everyone was very helpful and pleasant. My husband and 12 year old golfed and I tagged along. The last 8 holes were spectacular. My husband said it was a great course to play and he never thought he would get a chance. There are some steep slopes but the carts have auto braking and they worked very well. I didn't feel scared only excited. It was a little rainy and we had a tee time delay due lightning. They have good Saftey protocols. We didn't see any snakes, but lots of other critters. This is rattlesnake country so be aware. Be prepared to lose a few balls unless your a master. You may find a few as well. Excellent ice filled water stations in a few places. Nice coolers attached to their carts for your bevs. We had mild weather and I think this course would be much more difficult in extreme hot and humid weather cycles. Probably a bucket list golf course for golfers. Highly recommend. See more..
  2. 4.5 Links of North Dakota (18 reviews)
    - Best Course I've Played

    Links of North Dakota image
I played this course on a calm, non-windy Sunday. It was a long drive from Watford City, having to go around the lake. Arrived around noon and was immediately impressed how green the course was. I purchased the "Triple Challenge", which I would recommend even if you are only going to play two of the three courses (Links, Bully Pulpit, Hawktree). I was a single who was paired with a two-time club champion who helped guide me through the tough layout. If it had been windy, would have lost a dozen balls. It was the best-kept course I've ever played on. With Lake Sakakawea full and boats out in force, couldn't find better scenery. Staff was nice and helpful. If you find yourself within a hundred miles, make sure to go, most wouldn't believe it is North Dakota. Talk about a hidden gem. See more..

Love this course, because it reminds me of the courses back home in PA. Elevation changes, length, challenging greens all make for a nice day of golf. The course is nine holes, the clubhouse is not fancy or pretentious, however it is functional. Come play a round or two I think you will agree. See more..

  11. 4.0 Sweetwater Golf Course (2 reviews)
    - A Hidden Gem
    Spent 1-2 hours Golf Courses
I may be partial because I grew up in Bowman, but this golf course is still a fun little course. Each time I go home to visit, I still enjoy playing here. The only crowd you will find is after 4 on Wednesdays, but you can join the crowd and have a great time at the 19th hole afterward. The locals will welcome you!!!!! There are some "straight-forward" holes, and then there are some that can challenge you, depending on whether or not you participate in the "risk-reward" play. The greens this year are immaculate for the area. Nicest I have ever played on in Bowman. See more..

I enjoy golfing this course since it is so unique Apparently built during prohibition to allow golfers from both Canada and US to enjoy a round and a drink. Typical small prairie golf course. Oiled sand greens. Inexpensive. I think Sunday golf is free (2013). Clubhouse in US so beer and drinks are US priciing Even had Happy Hour wit h $1 off drinks. Stop in and say you teed off in Canada and landed up on the green in the US an hour later See more..

    Spent 2-3 hours Golf Courses
While we were visiting friends in Devils Lake, we asked if anyone knew of a fun golf course to go to on our way back to Fargo. This place was recommended. We went and played nine holes. We walked it, but you can also rent golf carts. The course was a pleasure to play on. Nicely maintained fairways and greens. It is the best golf game I have played in a long time. The scenery was lovely too. See more..

Very nice course. As far as I know, the only course in the US with 18 holes, 9 of which are in MN and 9 in ND. There a few tough greens in terms of slope and some difficult holes on approach, but overall, a great course for an average golfer. See more..
