Stunning Scenery

The reviews I read were spot on. Everyone was very helpful and pleasant. My husband and 12 year old golfed and I tagged along. The last 8 holes were spectacular. My husband said it was a great course to play and he never thought he would get a chance. There are some steep slopes but the carts have auto braking and they worked very well. I didn't feel scared only excited. It was a little rainy and we had a tee time delay due lightning. They have good Saftey protocols. We didn't see any snakes, but lots of other critters. This is rattlesnake country so be aware. Be prepared to lose a few balls unless your a master. You may find a few as well. Excellent ice filled water stations in a few places. Nice coolers attached to their carts for your bevs. We had mild weather and I think this course would be much more difficult in extreme hot and humid weather cycles. Probably a bucket list golf course for golfers. Highly recommend.

    Very unique and stunning
The most majestic course we have ever played. The back nine was certainly challenging and the vistas were fabulous. People are very friendly and accommodating. Love the cold water bottles available on several holes. A few holes are under construction and it looks like it could take a while but the course was fun to play regardless.

    Beautiful and Fun!
I booked this course for my wife and I after reading the reviews about construction and had some reservations about it. It's true that a couple of holes are being completely reconstructed after apparently being flooded by the adjacent Little Missouri River, and adaptations have been made, creating a par 69 for now. While that detracts some, it's still a beautiful and fun course with plenty of drama and challenge, without being overly difficult. Some Michael Hurzdan courses can be just plain punishing, but this one has great balance, is fair, and is a joy to play. When the turf grows in on the reconstructed holes next year, it will be that much better. Previous comments about severely sloped fairways and unfair greens must have come from someone from Florida or something! It's real golf, requiring all your shots, but delighting you with raw Western scenic beauty all the while! I highly recommend it right now, and definitely in the future! They discounted the rate to $69/person, including cart and range, due to the altered state of the course. It's worth every penny! Finally I have to mention the people -- really friendly, accommodating, humble, and genuinely interested in you having a great experience. Go visit Medora, check in with these folks, and have a great time at Bully Pulpit!
