  1. 4.5 Playa de Maspalomas (8.619 reviews)
    - Lack of Kiosks and Toilets
    Beaches
    Playa de Maspalomas image
With the nice new kiosks placed during lockdown it was a real disappointment to not have them open. Also a huge missed opportunity to have toilets installed in the middle of the beach as it's such a long walk to get back to either end to use facilities if you're spending the day there. For visitors please note that only card payments can be taken for sun loungers and parasols, they are no longer accepting cash and a lot of people were caught out by it. Again forcing customers to take their cards and phones down the beach it would be nice if there were some kind of locker facility by each kiosk for a small fee. Aside from this still a gorgeous clean beach and the attendants were lovely friendly people so heartily recommend a visit See more..

    - Amazing

    Playa de Las Canteras image
I loved everything I’ve lived here for a year and it is only crowded a few weeks of the year, it’s all about coming at the right time. There are many things to do and so much beautiful sea life (I recommend coming in June if you are a tourist) the best time of year to come is may in my opinion. I have come millions of times (trip advisor forces you to say a specific month so I’m just choosing this month) See more..
  3. 4.5 Playa del Duque (5.707 reviews)
    - Prettiest beach in Costa Adeje

    Playa del Duque image
Beautiful Beach Great beach with lots of cafes and a shopping centre near by. There were lots of people seeking tho he’s on the beach, but we didn’t mind. We bought a big towel off someone and others were selling mojitos, massages, sun glasses. They weren’t particularly pushy, just calling out what they were selling. There was even someone selling doughnuts and someone else selling fruit. The water was lovely and clear and there was plenty of places to just lay down with towels rather than rent Sun beds. Playa de Papagayo image
Nice beaches split into two with a cafe on the top of the cliffs in the middle. Can get a little busy and beware if it’s been raining as it makes for a very interesting muddy drive as it along at the end of an unmade road. The cost to enter the unmade road was very reasonable. There are a few steps to go down to reach the beach but not really a problem. Overall, an enjoyable visit. See more..
  5. 4.0 Playa de las Teresitas (4.582 reviews)
    - Beach day
    Beaches
    Playa de las Teresitas image
Visited here when staying in Puerto Cruz, it was about a 40 min drive each way and easy to find. Plenty of free parking close to the beach Lots of space when we visited and its a very big beach you'd need a huge amount of people for it to be full or busy. Very well organised with a bar/cafe,toilets and showers at equal distance points all along so you're never far from the facilities. The food was surprisingly good and good value for a beach cafe, recommend the chefs salad and my husband enjoyed his chefs burger which was very generously filled. Very cheap to rent beds and a parasol, think it was €6 per couple per day. There was also cabana beds to rent. Lovely sea and mountain views. Definitely recommend See more..
  6. 4.5 Playa de Mogan (4.359 reviews)
    - Lovely small town easy to get around and plenty of amenities
    Wednesday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Beaches
    Playa de Mogan image
Definitely deserves its "little venice" name. The town is small and easy to get around. The beach is small but well serviced, and well protected by the jetty. Plenty of beach restaurants and bars for a great range of foods. The shops are mainly independent tourist gift shops (cheap plastic chinese stuff definitely NOT from the island), but some more discerning retailers with local produce and arts (and a few designer fashion shops such as Lacoste, Esprit, DesIgual etc), as well as a number of 'duty free' style outlets. The holiday apartments around the marina are really lovely, covered in borgonvilliae, geraniums etc with a very 'Mediterranean' feel. We were staying at the Radisson Blu Mogan, which is only a short walk from the town via a fully pedestrianised wide walkway. THere's a street market there on Fridays, but again, not really local produce or crafts, mainly cheap imports. See more..

Omg! This beach is amazing We had luck cause we come earlyer in morning to take place close to water, and it was not to many people there in January Beautifull ocean, cristal blue, and sand is white. If you do not want to be full of sand I recommend that you rent a deck chair. There is some of restaurants and bars if you like to have lunch or some drinks, but my opinion that they are too expensive price for what you get See more..
  8. 4.5 Playa de Cofete (3.479 reviews)
    - Beautiful hidden beach
    Beaches
    Playa de Cofete image
This beach is absolutely beautiful and worth a visit. However to get here it can be dangerous. Once you get onto the dirt road count about 45 min/ 1 hour to get to the beach if you’re not used to driving on these kind off roads. Take plenty of water and some food. There is only one restaurant that is about 5 minutes in car from the beach on the dirt road. The dirt road is used often so it is in pretty good shape but lots of twists and turns. On the way up or down stop at the mirrador for a beautiful view. This beach can be very windy. See more..

    - Beautiful beach with massive strong waves.
    Beaches
    Playa Jardin image
Visited in January with two kids 11 and 12. Waves were massive and very scary. Red flag and two lufe guards but still some people went playing in the waves. We played far up from the waves and still you felt how easy it is to fall and get swept away. Saw some parents not paying close attention and small kids got scared. So be careful. Beach is beautiful, black soft sand and gorgeous view. We walked from northern Puerto de la Cru, approx 30 min and great walk through the city. See more..
  11. 4.5 El Cotillo Beach & Lagoons (2.724 reviews)
    - You could be in the Caribbean
    Beaches
El Cotillo Beach & Lagoons image
Amazing place to sunbathe and swim in sheltered lagoons. Either head for the couple of beach areas or into the quieter rock shelters in the sand dunes if the wind is blowing excessively. Spectacular waves breaking onto the rocks are just mesmerising. Further out there are naturists scattered about the rocky areas. This place is one of the most relaxed and favourite beaches to visit in the world. Take your own picnic if you're staying for any length of time although there is a food and drink shack, but we didn't try it. The town is just a short stroll away with many restaurants and views. 12. 4.0 Los Cristianos Harbour (2.682 reviews)
    - Great to Ferry Watch

    Los Cristianos Harbour image
Great place to watch the Ferries coming in & out. Loved my Pickie of Armas with the crane looking like it's fitted to the top of it The crane is working on the sea wall, strengthening it, & is going to be there for sometime, visible from much of Los Cristianos. Normally loads of smaller fishing boats & booze cruise boats using the harbour, but their numbers are drastically reduced in these uncertain times, even The Ragnarock has been sitting there for over 6 months & hasn't moved. Luckily the 3 different ferries keep the harbour busy with their trips to La Gomera La Palma & El Hierro. See more..
  13. 4.0 Playa Puerto Rico (2.336 reviews)
    - A beautiful bay with golden sand & clear blue sea water !!!
    Beaches
    Playa Puerto Rico image
We’re in Puerto Rico at the moment on a two week break. The jewel in the crown is this beautiful golden beach with crystal clear water.Lots of people use it in the day. And at 6/ 7pm all the locals go down to the beach with there families, lots of drinks & food & the families range from the very young to the very old. The sea is at its warmest & there’s hardly any tourist at that time. Also on the right hand side in the day is lots of different water sports to suit all pockets & the glass bottom boat that goes out every 30 minutes from early morning until 6pm. which suits the none sun bathers on the beach. In the tourist part of the day there 5/6 cafe bars open at the back on the beach, who sell food, drinks, ice creams etc. there also a few spar supermarkets to help with any thing you need for the beach or when you leave. So drag your selfs away from the pools & have hours of fun & relaxation on Puerto Rico beach & it won’t cost you a penny for a great day out !!! See more..
  14. 4.5 Playa de Fanabe (2.270 reviews)
    - Lovely beach & sunbeds
    Beaches
    Playa de Fanabe image
Went here several times & always found a space. Sunbeds are under an "umbrella" with a small table. There was a bar nearby with a few tables if you needed a drink. We also use to leave our towels on the sunbeds & go for a walk in the local shops or restaurants. The price at the time we went was €9 per bed & you could stay as long as you wanted. Someone used to come round & collect the money. There was usually some background music from the nearby bar which we enjoyed also. See more..

  16. 4.5 Playa Dorada Beach (2.002 reviews)
    - Clean beach, golden sand and safe waters
Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 10:00 PM Spent 2-3 hours Beaches
    Playa Dorada Beach image
Monday 10th January and we walked from our Hotel, H10 Timanfaya Palace, along Avenida Maritima, a coastal pathway, in the direction of Rubicon Marina. Along our way we stopped here at this beach, which is very wide with golden sand and it stretches about 300 metres along the coast. It is situated along the Avineda between the Port and Marina Two man-made breakwaters, constructed with rocks, stretch out into the sea from either side of the beach. These create a protected sheltered area with calm waters, an ideal safe swimming area. Rows and rows of yellow sunbeds with blue umbrellas line up along the beach, these are available to hire. There are showers along the beach. When we were here, it was a bit overcast, it was virtually deserted with only a few people walking along the Beach. It was gloriously quiet, perhaps due to the time of year, peak season would be a different story. There are numerous cafes, bars, restaurants and shops close by on the Avineda. See more..
  17. 4.5 Playa El Medano (1.743 reviews)
    - Small, quiet with good restaurants
    Beaches
    Playa El Medano image
First time to Tenerife and El Medano was recommended to us. It is a lovely little town/resort, which has retained its 'Spanishness'. There are only a couple of larger hotels and developments seem to have been sensibly restricted. This is a great place for doing nothing/very little apart from walking n the sun/getting a sun bed on the beach and eating in the many good restaurants and cafes. The exception to this is the kite and windsurfing, El Medano has the ideal conditions for these if you want to do more than just relax. These surfers also give the place a good vibe. The town seems to suit the more mature traveller and families. We went for a week looking for relaxation and to escape the building work going on in our home and El Medano was the perfect place for us to relax in the sun. Famara Beach image
This beach will put a smile on your face. Not the 7km as advertised but less than 4. Nevertheless it is a joy. Surfer schools frequent this place but they just create more things to entertain. The seascape is enormous and so so blue! Many parents with adorable toddlers. Not great for swimming. Caleta de Famara harbour is good for that with small beach or harbour side access. See more..

  21. 4.5 Playa Grande (1.137 reviews)
    - Great beach

    Playa Grande image
July 22. Great beach, sand was foot burning hot last few days, recommend taking wet/beach shoes, especially for children, but for everyone. Plenty of sunbeds but seemed to be getting busier, more children arriving? Two beds and a sunbrolley for €10.50 for all day, Brollys get taken at 5pm, we left our towels clipped on while we went up to the restaurants and bars above for lunch. There are men selling drinks and ice creams constantly at usual prices, we met a great man who wore a hat that had a back neck cover, didn’t know his name, he was brilliant, bought us jugs of sangria from the restaurant above with cups, and he offered to bring takeaway foods, he was brilliant. He gave us recommendations for restaurants which we used and they were great. ‘Fantastico’ for lunches and ‘Enjoy’ for evening Chinese/Thai food, both great, good prices. See more..

    Monumento Natural de Ajuy image
This little village was our last stop on a day trip to the west and it turned out to be the best choice to end the day. Tiny sleepy village with a beautiful black sand beach and interesting caves just around the rock. It was a surprise that these caves have a special place in the islands history. Reserve a good several hours for this place if you want to do both the beach and the caves. We did visit both caves down and it was an amazing feeling to be there. See more..

  27. 4.5 Playa Flamingo (950 reviews)
    - Must visit
    Spent 1-2 hours Beaches
    Playa Flamingo image
Playa Flamingo is my go to beach when I’m in Lanzarote. It’s very scenic and pretty! It’s safe for swimmers as it’s the sea enclosed, so I didn’t have to worry about my children going too far out, although the sea was deep if you go to the far end of course. There’s always enough space for everyone there, it’s a good size, not too small or not too large. There isn’t much shade there so I would definitely recommend bringing a beach umbrella. The cleanliness of the beach is great, it’s looked after very nicely. The surroundings restaurants and shops are ok. There are a few mini supermarkets which are convenient if you want to get a few things. The restaurants aren’t the best, but they’re ok if you want a quick snack for lunch. See more..

We have visited the playa grandes three times whilst being in Corralejo. It’s breathtaking and beautiful. The sand is soft and clean, the water and waves are amazing and the whole backdrop with having Los Lobos in front and the dunes and mountains on the other side is so beautiful. We stayed near the Rui Hotel first time, which was a bit crowded but as the beach is so big, you can easily find a bit more space. The second time, we parked ourselves at the Playa Del Moro and managed to get a stone circle beach bit ( not sure what they are actually called) and had an amazing day, watching the surfers. The third time, we cycled to the beach near the Kite Surfing bit, and again, had a great experience. The smaller little beach areas away from the hotel are not busy. Just be aware that there are no facilities, shops, bars or restaurants, if this is what you might need. See more..

What a shame that narrow minded people would diss those who have a live and live attitude and choose to bare all in an area that is considered to be naturist. If people don’t like naturism, young or old, choose the north of the island and leave those who remain free spirits alone to enjoy the feeling of liberation. I don’t know why one would comment on others nakedness when there’s miles of beautiful scenery to look at and enough open space to avoid the short and curlies. We stopped here as part of a cruise ship visit however as it was Christmas Day most of the shops and restaurants were closed. It's a quaint coastal village with a nice looking church, small cafes and bars, and some terraced colourful houses and back-streets to explore. There is a small sheltered black sand beach with a few sunshades and places to relax. There were nice views from the upper levels of the village, overlooking the harbour and surrounding area. The island looked pretty spectacular from the posters in town but we couldn't see much of it as the ship excursions were all cancelled due to the local tour companies taking the decision to close for Christmas Day. Fantastic beach. First review I read of it was for a completely different beach in Gran canaria…,.. this is La Gomera. Anyway, we are a couple and loved it every day. Naturist and beautiful, great sand and faces a bit West, ideal for afternoon/evening. Lots of couples (all sexes/mixes it looks like) there and some families (ie a normal relaxed naturist place, not full of just single men). Beach has a sign that currents in water can be dangerous in some conditions but fine on days we were there, we swam and enjoyed waves along with lots of other people. Easy accss from town, 7 minute flat walk. Great sand to lie on. Not at all rugged, unless compared to a hotel pool area maybe. Bit as above as waves make water, not beach, a little wild. We have travelled world extensively and this is great, highly recmmended. See more..

Got off the bus at LP-1, and got to the beach on foot. It was kind of a fun way down, but the return will definitely be a challenge. The beach is fantastic, though not that easy to reach. But it's totally worth it, the views and the scenery are just incredible. Giant waves, black sand (one of the finest I've ever come across) - they all make for a totally blissful state of mind. As for parking, there is plenty of space, but you'd still have to go on down on foot to reach the beach. As for the return, it's better to have your own car, as it's really unlikely you're going to come across a lot of visitors. See more..

This is a great little beach about an hour’s walk from Caleta de Sebo, as far south as you can go on Isla de la Graciosa, it is a great spot to relax and cool off in the sea before the walk back, but there are sometimes nudists here so if you are horrified by the idea of seeing a willy or two then best stop at the equally nice Playa de Francesa.
