Playa de Cofete, Canary Islands, Spain
4.5 (3.479 reviews) Spent Ranking #1 in Canary Islands Beaches
Beautiful hidden beach
This beach is absolutely beautiful and worth a visit. However to get here it can be dangerous. Once you get onto the dirt road count about 45 min/ 1 hour to get to the beach if you’re not used to driving on these kind off roads. Take plenty of water and some food. There is only one restaurant that is about 5 minutes in car from the beach on the dirt road. The dirt road is used often so it is in pretty good shape but lots of twists and turns. On the way up or down stop at the mirrador for a beautiful view. This beach can be very windy.

Awesome!
Cofete beach is a must when visiting Fuerteventura. 1h15 from Costa Calma totally worthy excursion even if the road is challenging in particular near the view point at the top. Most drivers are careful and use the extra space on sides of the road to facilitate traffic. The view from the top is one of the best ever. Wonderful wind and powerful waves! Some 30 cars at the beach parking but the beach is so long that it feels unspoilt anyway. There is a bar with enough choice of drinks and food just before the beach parking. Apart from that nothing at all on the beach and around apart from Villa Winter. When returning from Cofete, one can continue some 10 kms to Punta Jandia, the tip of the island. Not as spectacular as Cofete beach but relaxing and also unspoilt.
