A very nice park. The tour consists of a relaxing boat ride along the mountain range and on the lotus covers lakes of Sam Roi Yot national Park. There are many colourful birds to see on the lake. The temple in the cave is wonderful and for the adventurous there is a steep climb to the top of one of the mountains (through meadows and forrest) to a limb stone cave. See more..

You park your car, buy the ticket (1,050THB at the time of writing) and then walk through onto the back of a pick-up truck. There is little shade so a hat and sun cream might be advisable. My guide had basic English and then just kept eyes peeled for any creatures of which you have an apparent 80% of seeing. Was lucky enough to glimpse a family of elephants through the trees thanks to the guides beady eyes but it was very hot, and would think more activity towards closing time (18:00) than opening (14:00) as previous reviewers have suggested… Beautiful place to just be though in a 1,000KM2 natural forest. Hiking up the narrow trails is a bit of a challenge but most exciting! Hiked with friends on a scorching Sunday, I suggest that you bring gears with you to protect yourselves from the sun or hike at around 3-4 pm; it'll take only 30 mins to reach the mountain top. The view is spectacular with lush trees, refreshing view and less peoply. Definitely worth the visit. See more..

    Wat Kuiburi image
Wat Kuiburi/Kuiburi temple is the oldest buddhist temple in Kiburi, very much revered by Thais from near and far. The temple ground comprise of the famous temple with a statue of a special monk who often fasted for many days, and a number of buddha statues, and several other buildings including the living quarters of monks and nuns, a rare sight indeed. When we visited we could hear the chanting of monks from one building, and observe the leisurely gathering of a group of nuns. Part of the main temple was being renovated and thus closed for the public. Well worth a visit See more..
