- 5.0 Charlie Connection Travel & Tour (60 reviews)
-GRAZIE SUPER CHARLIE!!
Monday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Multi-day Tours
Charlie is simply amazing!! He had already organised a short but perfect tour for us in 2014. We contacted him again this year for a 2-week tour. We travel with children and he was able to make the right proposals for us taking into account the need for connecting rooms, the right mix of cultural and fun activities and a lot of flexibility!! Charlie is super responsive, proactive, very transparent with the fees, extremely precise and organised. He traveled with and having a Thai guide with makes the difference, we learnt a lot about Thai culture and customs and he really spoiled us with many attentions (including ordering plain food for one of our kids and making sure I got a bag I had forgotten in time before our departure). We are already planning a new tour in Cambodia as he also works in neighbouring countries - definitely the perfect tour guide!!! See more..

-Giant Harborland!
Spent 2-3 hours Shopping Malls
Recently opened was the Giant Harborland on 4th floor. This branch is really huge and they claimed that it is the biggest indoor playground in the world as Y 2020. Once stepping in, you’ll forget any playground that you may have been playing because this place is really big, clean and super fun. One thing I don’t like is that I visited there in middle of July and could only play for 2 hrs cause it’s still under Covid time, hope the government change this soon. See more..
- 4.5 Nonthaburi Market (60 reviews)
-Very large market near Bangkok
Spent < 1 hour Farmers Markets
Went by public boat from Central Pier at Sathorn Thaksin. Cost 30bt each for a 50 minute ride. Great experience. Unbelievably Nonthaburi is Thailand’s 2nd biggest city but is sort of merging with Bangkok these days. The market is very close to the pier and covers a large area. It is truly local with few foreigners making it out this far. So if you are a westerner, unless you are very skinny you will be lucky to find clothes that fit. A large part of the market is given over to food, much of it still alive, so if you are squeamish you are going to see and smell things that you won’t like and should probably stay away. See more..
- 4.5 Wat Leng Nei Yi 2 (50 reviews)
-Bring Your Camera!
Religious Sites
Also known as Wat Borom Racha Kanchana Phi Sek Anuson, this Chinese temple is located at Moo 4, Tambon Sano Loi, Amphoe Bang Bua Thong, Nonthaburi. Take a taxi and spend an hour or two walking this massive granite temple. Walk slowly as photo opportunities are at every turn. We have been to the temple twice this year, once as part of another trip without our big camera, and again for the sole purpose of photography. It is a wonderful temple. See more..
- 4.5 Wat Sangkhathan (48 reviews)
-Beautiful temple
Speciality Museums
The temple had 2 sections. First section with the glass Dome which so beautiful in & out. Second section with wood carving house and boat. This style is similar to the one in Pattaya that you will have to pay for entry 500 THB each. But this temple letting everyone visit for free. This section alone is worth the whole trip to come from Bangkok city center to here. See more..

Wat Pho Bang O is an interesting alternative to the Grand Temple if you want to avoid the huge crowds there. - 4.5 Wat Ku (15 reviews)
-Way better than the Temple of the Reclining Buddha
Monday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent 2-3 hours Religious Sites
If you can get out to Nonthaburi, resist going to Bangkok’s overcrowded, tuk-tuk-scamming, overpriced Temple of the Reclining Buddha and visit Nonthaburi’s Wat Gu and its even more impressive, free-to-enter .... you guessed it - Reclining Buddha and complex(see photos). The complex’s expansive grounds include numerous beautiful buildings of various architectural styles: one being a crematorium; another a prayer hall and so on. This temple complex is easily equal to, and perhaps better than, the Reclining Buddha temple, and I saw only 5 other visitors in the complex (mid-afternoon) - that’s a clincher as far as I’m concerned! See more..

- 4.5 Wat Bangchak (11 reviews)
-Beautiful wat on the Chao Phraya River
Spent < 1 hour Religious Sites
Our biking group rides several times a week in the Pathum Thani/Nonthaburi area and often the first wat we ride through is Wat Bangchak. If we have new riders I ALWAYS will take them there because it is so interesting. There is a huge Buddha statue overlooking the river and we often take pictures in front. There are three entrances to the area under the statue and each is interesting in itself; one is a large dragon head, one is a large tiger head and one, I think, is the head of Yama (but not sure). In addition to the large Buddha, there are numerous statues that depict the Ramayana story and also the life of the Buddha. Another funny area, has several movie superhero statues....Rambo, Snow White, Popeye....etc. Why? Who knows but certainly entertaining. Don't miss the large statue of Quan I'm (the female Buddha) when you enter the wat on the north side. It is surrounded by a beautiful dragon sculpture. Go and enjoy this non-touristed, interesting wat. See more..
- 4.5 Phra Nang Ruea Lom Shrine (11 reviews)
-Beautiful
Historic Sites
The Queens memorial is next to a favorite restaurant of ours. We always stop to pay our respects to the Queen and her child. The last time I was there was in 2009 and on that visit, the shrine was located on a near by dock along the river bank. It was about an 8ft x 10ft glass enclosed room. I was looking for a pathway to the river but a large white building was standing in the way. My wife informed me, this is the home of the new memorial. It is a beautiful, ornate 2 story building, all white masonry, marble and ceramic tiles. The first floor is dedicated to Queen Sunantha and her child. The second floor is dedicated to both the King, Queen and Child. See more..
