-An sustainable way of life and very educational
Monday: Architectural Buildings
I went there as part of a research project and though I only stay for 5 days, I have learnt a lot about clay housing and living a simple, sustainable life. You have to prepare to work 6 hours a day as this place is not a place for tourist. It is a place to learn especially those who are interested in architecture, interior design, and sustainable development. I highly recommend this project for those who has the strength, energy, and a love of clay housing, and those who want to learn and to experience something different. See more..

- 4.5 Wat Thep Charoen (4 reviews)
-Toevallig gevonden
Points of Interest & Landmarks
- 4.5 Khao Kriap Cave (4 reviews)
-Superb for its size
Caverns & Caves
Khao Kriap is a hill just off the main highway. There is a very simple temple with just one monk when we visited. A concrete stairway of about 300 steps leads to the cave. There is one big chamber with some natural light from holes in the ceiling, but bring a good flashlight to see the cave properly. There are some very nice stalactites and stalagmites plus other features, as well as a statue of the Buddha. Great views over the countryside from the stair way. Well worth a visit if you are driving through the province. Do bring a donation for the temple if you plan to stop here. See more..

-A little run down, but worth the time
Spent 1-2 hours Parks
This park, easy reached from the main highway, is in a curve of the Langsuan river. The centre piece is Khao Ngoen (Ngoen Hill), which has several caves. The big opening, Lom Cave is the most interesting, especially to those who like odd geological formations. There is a statue and garden in honour of the King's mother in front (needs weeding!). Its a tranquil place to stop for a while. You may see some monkeys too. See more..

-A surprise

I was not expecting anything great at this museum but I was surprised by what they had on display. There are displays of tools dating back 4,000 years through to the importance of the sea trade 1st century B.C. There are excellent displays from the 13th century of bowls and jugs and jewellery and two huge Bronze Kettle Drums with beautiful artwork engraved on them. Many people pass through Chumphon on their way to Koh Tao and Koh Sumi with out taking the time to look around Chumphon, it is worth it. See more..

A mix of both privately owned houses and apartments set on one of Thailand's most idyllic beaches. A place far removed from the mass tourism of Bangkok and Phuket. Blending in beautifully with the natural surroundings, the development will consist of 3 three story apartment buildings along with 30 bespoke detached homes. With a firm commitment in keeping the project green, vast areas of the landscape will remain untouched. Therefore both residents and visitors alike can enjoy both the large expansion of vegetation and stunning white sandy beach, as nature intended. All restaurants, pools, and other facilities will be cleverly integrated into the existing environment, thus producing one of the most stylish and desirable complexes in the whole of Thailand.
