It was a great day and a unique experience. We were so happy to see dolphines. Our guide was really nice and knew a lot about this animals. In addition to that he recpected them and it was really animal friendly. After we ate in a Restaurant and it was delicious and the people there are all so nice and happy. We are also vegetarians but this was no problem for them;) Also the rest of our tour the fishspa in the little river and the fresh water lake was fantastic. I think we never laughed that often with our guide. He was soooo nice and we had soo much fun. It was the the best day in our vacation. I can highly recommend this tour!!!!:) See more..

Long stretch and largely untouched - maybe except on the weekends - the beach is a non mainstream location for nice beach and blue green waters. The sand is very fine; very comparable to that of Koh Samui's Chaweng beach. That said, the beach is not only scenic but also feels away from it all. Not a wonder this place is dubbed a hidden gem, although I feel it won't be for long given its rise in popularity amongst the Thais and seasoned foreigner living in Thailand altogether. See more..

The donations of hopeful players have contributed to the blatant wealth of the ongoing constructions in this monastery. You can get a fishing longtail boat from the peer to take you to see pink dolphins with 1000 baht for the whole boat. We came by scooters from Khanom - very quiet road in good shape, so was a nice drive. Some 200m from the peer there is also a tiny lone beach which is really idyllic and perfect for a short stay. A beautiful White temple complex, the temple is in the city and easy to reach, there were no crowds of people so my partner and myself found it very easy to move around and take in the lovely sight of the temples. If you should wish to buy an item to remind you of the temple there is a shop on site. As we paid the 200 THB to enter the park, the nice park ranger informed us that there were only 2 people beside us in the park. We met them about 1 km later as they were on their way back. And so we ended up having the trail, the views and the waterfall completely to ourselves. And we're still awestruck about the silence and sounds, the smells, the mist and roaring waterfall. Samed Choon is one of the 3 water falls in Khanom area. We only visited Hit Lat and Samed Choon. Samed Choon was way better than Hit Lat and seems to be pretty popular among locals at least during the public holidays. We visited Samed Choon twice and on the second time, there were only us. Waterfall is a small one, but contains a nice pool to swim and have fun in the water. Water is fresh and cooling. There is a swing in a tree, that you can use to jump in to the water. If you are in to some adventure you can go exploring the waterfall upwards, as it continues and continues. There is some uphill hiking to the fall, but the fall is refreshing and provides some nice views to the ocean as well. As the waterfall is in the middle of forest, remember to bring your own water as there are no services nearby. Get a map, rent a scooter and enjoy! See more..

Ai Khaio waterfalls are not the most spectacular I have ever visited, but it was nice to drive up from the city and spend time in this beautiful, natural setting. A clear, swift-moving stream tumbles over large boulders, beneath overhanging trees. The river is teeming with small fish, which can be seen clearly in small pools along the edge of the stream. Finding these waterfalls was not difficult with gps. It's about an hour and a half away from Nahkon Si Thammarat. It's 100baht for foreigners, and a short walk to the river. There are three waterfalls in the park, but you have to drive to each one because they're far from eachother. The main waterfall at the entrance of the park is not huge or impressive. They're very mellow and create pools that entire families were enjoying. There are a small picnic tables and a lot of locals. The vegetation is so rich that you're in shade the whole time. It's very beautiful surrounded by rich, lush trees. I highly recommend going here if you're in the area. See more..
