   This is a lovely Buddhist Temple just a few blocks from the city center. There is a large Chinese presence in Betong, and this is a Chinese-style Temple. There was a lot of work being done when I visited, much of it painting. The five-star rating is a reflection of the serenity and the beauty of its surroundings. Is this equivalent to the Taj Mahal? It’s five stars for Betong; worth a visit. You’ll live if you miss it, even if one does visit Betong. See more..

   After long driving through 2laned winding asphalted road, we arrived at hala bala wildlife santuary at the forestry office. At first stop at research center, we experienced plantation , mak Daeng trees( palm family) , DaLa ( ginger family) with unique flowers. Unfortunately, we miss hornbill birds which are fauna here. Then we furthered to Sirindhorn waterfall , clear crystal water with strong wave of water through slippery rocks. It’s very peasant time here with few tourists. See more..

   Beautiful place to be in, its worth getting up in the wee morning, the existing viewing platform is too small to accommodate the sudden influx of crowd all vying for the optimal space to take pictures on. Those who choose to drive or ride up, to exercise caution, the way up is steep and alot of times you got to use 1st gear to go up, with switchbacks along the way, once you drive thru the mist clouds with care, then you will reach the carpark area, its pitch black up there, and its a steep hike to the top of the viewing platform, do bring along your torches for safe hike. For those with mobility issue, there is a scooter service to ferry you up or down for $20 bhat. Toilet facilities is at where you park, and they do charge you $10 bhat for usage. They are building a bigger viewing platform currently, its gonna be bigger and better accommodate the crowd. See more..

   Stayed a night here in the resort when we were in Betong. There are many flowers here, hence the name 万花园. The room is very simple and no-frills with a basic bed, shower room and towel. There are no toothbrush, toothpaste or other toiletries provided. The heater water is either very hot or very cold, and it's very challenging to adjust the water temperature. We also had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant in the garden and the food was simple but surprisingly good. It is a more laid-back place on a hill and with nothing much to explore nearby, so it's a place suitable for relaxation. See more..

    This spectacular stupa sits atop a hill, approx 750m east from Betong clock tower Intersection. It was built to celebrate the 60th Birthday of Her Majesty the Queen. A 39m wide and 39.9m high sitting bronze Buddha base at the front (currently under renovate), a few hall at the center, finally a stupa sit at the top.The view from the top of the stupa over town are wonderful.     Designated in honor of His Majesty the King Bhumibol, the Chaloem Phra Kiat Ro Kao waterfall is located in Tambon Ai Yoe Weng off of Highway 410, about 32 kilometers from Betong. The waterfall is more than 30 meters high and is set amidst a verdant forest. The main pond r hot n not allowed to do anything there, beside main pond there r 3 small well for u to boiled some eggs.     If you want to pay a visit at the mosque, it is a good idea to come after Duhri. People will get some rest at their home and you wont be bother by the crowd. I went there on Monday around 2 pm and bought a dress. If you want to buy Arabian dresses for men and women, some shop is open opposite from the mosque and it is reasonable and bargain-able.
