   I had a great time diving with them. They returned and answered my emails quickly to welcome me to join them. During the dive trip, the dive boat is large and comfortable. I never felt we were in a rush but felt relaxing and chill with the other divers. The dive masters were all friendly and patient .The boat staff made sure all of the divers feel at ease and well prepared before each dive.    We went on both the Koh Kood snorkelling trip and the Koh Rong marine park trip. My partner did the 'try diving' because we were both so impressed with how Manu and the whole team were the first day. Absolutely incredible day both times. The marine park was particularly incredible as far as coral and fish. The whole team are professional and you feel safe and comfortable.    Amazing experience! We were lucky to be only the two of us and so we basically enjoyed a private cooking class with Leng (but usually the classes are maximum 4 people anyways :) ). Everything was just perfect - the thoughtful and beautiful presentation of the ingredients, the amount of knowledge passed on to us, the explanations. We even got a little cook book to take home! In 4 hours we prepared 4 dishes, two of them even with slight variations. I was stunned! The food itself was just glorious. Honestly some of the best Thai food (if not the best) I have ever had. Miles away from your standard restaurant food! Full of flavor, richness, spice aroma and just incredibly tasty. It was a hot day and leng and her staff took great care of us, providing cooling fans and plenty of cold drinking water. The tide brings the sea right up in the morning, and by evening it’s gone out a way enabling you to walk along the beach on the sand in the afternoon. It’s so peaceful here; even with some busy resorts, you still don’t have people swimming by you. Soft sand, shallow for ages so safe swimming. No tall buildings spoiling the look of nature. Great little local places to eat at the quieter end near Santhiya Tree resort. Walking further south there are more hotels, Emerald and Dewa get busier, but still not as crowded as other islands.     Visited Koh Chang for during May last year the place can be compared to other islands in southern part of Thailand. Rented van from Bangkok to Trat, it took nearly 5 hours, then we took the ferry to get to the main island. Koh Chang is a relax place and has all the amenities for those looking for adventure like scuba diving, snorkelling or kayaking. All in all, a great place to visit, lesser crowd at a decent price.     We took a taxi from our hotel to Koh Mark Resort. We paid 300 Baht a ticket for a boat ride and a soft drink at Koh Mak. We took the first boat at 10.30 am and we came back at 1.15 pm. We bought two boxes of lunch at Koh Mak Resort to have lunch at Koh Kham. It took about 10 minutes for the boat ride. The sand is white and beautiful. The water was clear.     Beautiful island within a National Park. Ss most people we joined a large boat and travelled the 1 hour from Bang Bao on Koh Chang. The only thing. that spoilt the beauty and tranquility was the hoard of life-jacketed tourists, almost entirely Thai. It was literally like an ant's nest in the water.     Really cool place to chill for a while. The stairs are very steep so if yr not that physically fit probably best to choose one of the other waterfalls.     We stayed for 2 nights at Koh Wai Beach resort. Lovely little cove with a private beach and you can only arrive by boat and no day trippers- paradise. The rocky area made for great snorkelling with some colourful fish. Our little hut had air conditioning and hot water too. Perfect little get away. The only thing that ruined it for us was the amount of trash being swept into the cove. We spent 10 minutes gathering trash and more whilst we were snorkelling. Plastic bags, plastic bottles, glass bottles, food packets, cups, moisturiser containers, fishing net- you name it, it was there. So many fish, whales, turtles die because of humans careless acts. We spend all this money coming to amazing islands to snorkel and see the beautiful sea life but we are killing them! If everyone picked up rubbish when they saw it then maybe things would change.     All the beaches on Koh Kood are great, but this one was our personal top. Firstly, it has a number of these iconic wooden piers that make it a classic “postcard” view. Secondly, sand is very white and tender, almost a powder. Really comfy to run on. Thirdly, the beach line in the bay is quite long, usually Koh Kood beaches are tinier. And of course, there’s lots of natural shadows created by coconut palms.     We were staying at the High Season Resort and luckily for us Klong Chao Beach was right on our doorstep. During our visit in December 2018, the beach was quite small and when the tide was at its highest the sand was only a very thin strip. It was beautifully clean and the sea was an incredible turquoise colour, especially at the end of the beach where the river flowed into the sea.     This waterfall is a must to visit if you are spending time on Koh Chang. The waterfall itself isn’t so impressive but the fact that you can swim together with large and quite unshy fishes below makes it worth a visit. There is a small entrance fee which you pay before you start hiking towards the waterfall and it was roughly 500 meters from the entrance to the waterfall.     This is a beautiful golden beach which is soft to walk on. It is still relatively quiet but we did notice more people as the week went on. We made a beach sellers day by buying a bird wind chime for the garden at a very good discounted price of course - he was so happy to make his first sale of the day at 9am. The fire entertainers have returned at night performing on the sand in front of the tourists - they received a good reception and tips! Most bars and restaurants are open on White sand but it will take a while for it to be as popular as it once was. See more..
