Top places to visit (15 attractions)
- 4.5 Prasat Sdok Kok Thom (32 reviews)
-Indiana Jones feeling
Points of Interest & Landmarks
This ancient temple ruin off the beaten path teleports one directly into an Indiana Jones movie, I almost expected to stumble upon a trap door leading to terrible hazards and incredible treasures. It's like Angkor Wat, but obviously much smaller. But the upside? There are hardly any tourists, we spent 2 hours at this place and the better part of the time, we had the place to ourselves (was on a weekday though, don't know how busy weekends are). We had a local guide with us who explained a few features to us, which was super interesting, but had we not, we'd still enjoy the tranquil time travel into ancient times. See more..
- 4.5 La-lu (23 reviews)
-Alien landscape off the beaten path
Points of Interest & Landmarks
Beautiful spot. Off the beaten path and a hidden gem. Still very authentic, tourism hasn't taken over, smiles are real. Food at pick up point is delicious and you get to watch granny deseeding tamarinds and all sorts of village life. The landscape in Lalu makes you feel like spending an hour or two (acessible area isn't too vast) like being on a different planet. The detour was well worth it! See more..
- 4.0 Pang Sida National Park (23 reviews)
-Beautiful
National Parks
One Thailands many national parks, The Pansidar waterfall is spectacular in the rainy season and the dry season full of brightly coloured butterflies attracted by the moisture. There is also dirt road that takes you up into the mountains ending at a spectacular view point. The area is full of wildlife though you will mainly see Jungle fowls, hornbills (flying over head and if you're lucky wild elephants. Camp site and bungalows available. As with all Thai attractions avoid at the week ends. Has good visitor centre and video. See more..

- 3.5 Rong Kluea Market (97 reviews)
-Same Same
Spent 1-2 hours Speciality & Gift Shops • Flea & Street Markets
Several times in recent weeks, Thailand's English-language Bangkok Post has carried stories about a police crackdown on pirated goods. But when you have lived in Thailand for just a little while, you realize that the authorities saying they are going to do something is just as good as actually doing it. So it was on a return trip to Sa Kaeo Province to Rong Kluea Market, which is in Aranyaprathet next to the Cambodian border town of Poipet. This huge market was groaning with fake brand products across the full spectrum - clothes, bags and accessories, DVDs, watches, sporting goods, perfumes, colognes and cosmetics, and much more. Everything was business as usual. See more..
- 3.5 Tham Phet Pho Thong (4 reviews)
-interesting side trip
Points of Interest & Landmarks
large cave as described earlier, good viewpoint, local sightseeing spot , def worhwile when in the area See more..
- 3.0 Ta Phraya National Park (1 review)
-Off the beaten national park path!
National Parks
Ta Phraya National Park is one one of the lesser-visited national parks in Thailand, overshadowed by it's far better known neighboring parks to the west, Thap Lan and Khao Yai National Park. The park sits close to the Cambodian border and has some very nice forests and viewpoint. See more..
- 2.5 Aranyaprathet Victory Gate (2 reviews)
-Cambodia-Thailand Boarder
Points of Interest & Landmarks
This place is where you pass to Thailand Immigration area after clearing immigration in Cambodia. Tou have to walk on foot to reach the Thai border. Be careful and watch out for scammers. See more..
- 2.5 Wat Anu Banpot (2 reviews)
-Not impressed.
Points of Interest & Landmarks
We rode our bicycles to this wat but didn't find it interesting or impressive. It looked somewhat run down with cats running all around the area. See more..
- 2.0 Chong Klam Bon Wildlife Breeding Station (1 review)
-Could not locate
Points of Interest & Landmarks
Travelled to here. Once we turned off the main road it became terrible huge potholes and road washout. There was no indication of where it actually was once we turned off the main road. Eventually after travelling it for 10mins and not finding it, we turned back as the road was becoming too dangerous for two people on a small motorbike. See more..
- 2.0 Prasat Khao Lon (1 review)
-Only for Khmer enthusiasts
Points of Interest & Landmarks
Prasat Khao Lon is situated in Ban Charoen Suk, Thap Rat Sub-district of Ta Phraya. The Khmer ruin stands on the premises of Wat Prasat Khao Lon on the top of Khao Lon, a small hill located at the foot of Khao Sakae Krong. The sanctuary had once four prang (three in the front, one in the back), but today only the central tower remains. The remaining brick tower is damaged at the top. An open pavilion with a Buddha image stands in front of the entry (east). Within the sanctuary of the tower is another smaller Buddha image. Prasat Khao Lon has characteristics similar to Prasat Khao Noi. A difficult path consisting of boulders leads up to the sanctuary. Prasat Khao Lon is indicated as a main tourist attraction, but out of a tourist point of view it is not really worth a visit, unless you are interested in Khmer architecture and/or archaeology. No fee. See more..
