   We had a super duper great experience at adang. all staf were very easy-going.they are very professional at the same time very friendly.we feel safe when diving with them. David and Sean are doing great job as our instructor. We had a quick brief before dive about the route and marine life as well as the safety briefing. I highly recommend this diving centre as your first choice to dive in koh lipe.    My partner and I just finished 13 dives over 7 days with Koh Lipe Diving School. We did 10 fun dives and the PADI Deep Diver (40M/130ft) course with a great team of Instructors and Divemasters. English, French, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish all spoken here. Would highly recommend Eric and his team for your Koh Lipe diving choice - highly professional across the board, safety is paramount at each step of their operation and your experience. Friendly and fun, great boats and rental gear, and with a broad range of dive sites you are guaranteed a top notch experience here - not something guaranteed with all dive shops in Thailand. Highly recommended for both training and fun dives. Good lunch with fruit, drinks provided during boat excursions and the dive shop is well equipped with most gear you might need or have forgotten.    Myself and my wife had a really great time diving with Keira. It was my wife’s first time diving and she felt really safe, calm and comfortable underwater with Keira. We would highly recommend Keira for anyone wishing to dive when visiting Koh Lipe.    I went there last November with my friend. We started climbing up in the morning and it took around 2-3 hours as we always stopped when we were tired. lol There are 3 view points.    We found JK Blue on the beach and it is now at the Mali Sunrise resort on their beachfront deck. (There is also an air conditioned shop on the street behind Sunrise Beach) we had a message here almost every day of our holiday, the girls are kind and friendly and excellent masseuse, the location overlooking sunrise beach with the breeze wafting and the sound of the sea is beautiful.    We have travelled a lot especially in Thailand and hands down this was the best trip in recent years and a stunning, beautiful island. Not to mention the lovely people. We were not hassled, the prices were fair and often semi fixed so no silly haggling over 1-2 dollars! The food was excellent and the water was clear, warm and blue. There are no cars and you can visit several beaches easily and cheaply. We stayed on sunset beach which was mostly unspoilt and had the softest, white soft powdery sand I’ve ever seen, plus snorkelling right off the beach. There is enough to do, great massages, good bars, fab shopping and snorkelling and diving trips without it feeling over done. The only gripe is other tourists-smoking incessantly and leaving their buts littered on the sand and yes the long tails can be noisy and could be sectioned off in more contained areas.    In Koh Lipe, there are three main beaches, The Pattaya Beach, The Sunrise Beach and the Sunset Beach. But if you prefer to laze on the beach, enjoying the sunshine, then Sunrise beach will be more suitable as there are not many boats docking at the beach. The beach is more quiet and peaceful. The scenery here is breathtaking! You can walk the long stretch of clean, soft and pristine while enjoying the beautiful scenery. You may also snorkel in the clear turquoise water. Over here, visitors are spoiled by choice for accommodation on this beach with a great selection of luxurious hotels to budget lodgings. There are also a few eateries where you can indulge in. Or you may walk to the Lipe Walking Street where there are plenty of seafood restaurants. It is just a few hundred meters walk. For your information, the price of the resorts here varies very much. Antoine is a professional diver with many years of experience and Valerie is the good soul who takes care of almost everything. We quickly decided to do the PADI Open Water Diver course, which lasts 3 days. As a diving instructor we got Rafaniël, who was a godsend. With his patient and loving nature, and the way he explained things and taught us the basics - all of this made us feel comfortable and safe at all times. One should not underestimate this sport, it follows very serious procedures. It takes a teacher to encourage you from time to time and strengthen you to go a little further. Chris was an excellent and knowledgeable dive guide, always careful about safety and keen to ensure we got maximum enjoyment from our experience.     This secluded beach is only accessible by boat,kayak,or a short walk on a plank walkway. The water is limpid, slow sloped, has beautiful fine white sand and rocks with a great variety of fish. Further west,you can also access two smaller" secret beaches" , great for snorkeling. Please don't spoil these places with your fag ends, picnic left overs,or bottles! There are very few places like this in the world... It is a calm, very low key beach with a moderate amount of swimmers, no music or screaming babies.     A short 10 minutes steep stair climb will lead you to the cave entrance. There you’ll find 2 paths, one via a small hole where you have to crawl thru a short 1-2 meter path after which you can stand up and explore the cave inside (which is huge).. the other path via the bigger hole I didn’t go thru so not sure where that leads to (presumably they should lead to the same path). We paid a THB200 entrance fee which include the entrance to this cave as well as the nearby Wang Sai Thong Waterfall. There was a friendly guide that led us into the cave and provided a briefing on the cave... There’s 2 path that can be taken.. a shorter 30 minutes short loop tour or a longer 90 minutes tour.     This place is a gem. If you are in PakBara do make a visit to this area. This a national park for the area. There is an entrance fee for tourists at 200baht per person and 30baht per car. The facilities such as toilets, shops and ample parking space is available at the entrance of the park. I would recommend to go in the morning as it could get hot at noon and afternoon. The place closes about 5pm. The main attraction to this place the 'boardwalk' around the cliff. It gives you the opportunity to get close up view of the sea and the rocks on land. The boardwalk is now made of concrete and is very sturdy. Plenty of opportunity for pictures. This place is also the place to take boat to other lesser known islands around Langu district.     This is just a small island in the middle of the way from Pak bara pier to Koh Lipe. The speedboat to Koh Lipe will stop over Tarutao Island for National Park Pass purchase and then stop over at Koh Kai for the rock cave sight seeing. In fact this island has nothing unusual and not even a popular spot for Koh Lipe visitors. Might be for daily tour of Tarutao. But the busiest side as well as that's the main port of call where most tourists land, a make shift immigration that takes hours to clear 20-30 pax on arrival froM Langkawi. The shores are lined with long tail boats, zipping in and out, making it hard to enjoy the clear waters. There's a small section for snorkelling, during the hightide there's plenty to see lien an aquarium. We spotted seahorses, parrot fish, sea slugs, and many more.     I stayed at the Bay View Sunset resort which I can't recommend, but it is located right in front of this wonderful beach, the best for snorkeling. You can see many species and lots of coral, the water is very visible and mild temperature, the sand is half white and half black on this side of the island. Many crustaceans live among the rubbish and the fallen leaves of the mangroves. I loved snorkeling, I spent many hours in the water watching the marine life of rare beauty, swimming a lot and picking up rubbish from the sea...I filled up rubbish bags and 100lt that I would ask the restaurant of the resort, sometimes I even forced the young people who worked there to help me, minimum to carry the heavy bags of rubbish. I love the simplicity of this place where i can buy a drink fr the bar counter and order food from the kitchen that behind( belongs to salisa hotel?) . Some cute dogs will roam around the area below the tables and on the sand. They are harmless. There is cat who is rather pesistent when the food came! It will climb on the table to get your food! But it is harmless. It wil go away if you shoo it off. The stretch of beach infront of the bar is very clear and clean.     I absolutely love Koh Lipe and will be sad to leave. Ferry drop off on Pattaya beach, it’s only footsteps along the sand are you’re on Walking Street, more or less takes you from one side of the island to the other. Everything you need is on hand, the people are so friendly, prices fair, massages plentiful and reasonably priced. Was a bit worried after Covid that it might be too quiet, but most things open and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended.
