   A bucket list experience. The pits are about a 10 mins walk from the car park but this is easy and pleasant walking with easy access for wheelchair users. It was a cold but pleasant day. Would not like to visit in the summer months as there is very little shade. Was expecting crowds of people but was pleased to find this was not the case.    This place is absolutely paradise. We went to Zhu Hai during on a morning and the air is cool, fresh like nowhere else in cities in China. It is perfect for walks and hikes. In the park, the ride in a cable car to the top of the mountain is highly recommended to see the biggest bamboo jungle in China. There is an entrance fee to the park as well as separate fee for the cable car. To get a cheaper entrance fee, we book through our hotel in Zhu Hai which is just nearby so maybe that's what every tourists should do to save a bit of money.     Slightly off the beaten path, this large complex should be THE must see for anyone visiting Suzhou. If you come around 3:30PM, you'll find it almost empty and there's enough time to visit the truly impressive temples and gardens, before the monks and priests start setting everything for evening prayers around 4:00PM, when they'll ask you to leave the main temple building. At 4:30PM the temple is filled with nuns and monks in impressive robes, who begin their evening ceremony, all of which you can watch from the doors. It's well, well worth it. However, the most important part of the serene complex is the Arhat Hall. Inside, you'll find 500 giant, golden Buddah's, each one completely unique and representing a different meaning. They are behind glass, but still the site is amazing. Some of them actually break through the glass, depending on their arm gesticulation. The Arhat Hall closes around 4:00 - 4:30PM. See more..

    Visited a lot of gardens in Suzhou, all of them are different. This is in my eye the most beautiful, in fact this is my second time to Tongli, mostly for visiting this particular garden again. It's smaller compared to most gardens, compact but yet not cramped in design & layout, very clever design. Every angle or direction you look, there is a different view. Also, it's less crowded than the gardens that are in Suzhou city. Tips: 1. Go very early before the tour buses/ crowd arrive, I was always the first tourist there during my few nights stay in Tongli. 2. Take a rest when it's crowded, there are benches upstairs in the garden, best part, its with view to the pond! The crowd will be gone very soon as most tourists only spend a maximum of 30 minutes in a garden. 3. Worth to stay in Tongli for a night or 2 if like quite town, if you have time.     Recommend to see this town before it gets too commercialized. This historic town was an important part of the tea horse road. The old theatre in the middle of the town and a visit to the Ouyang family home are a must. The Ouyang family made their fortune as inn keepers in the early days and the descendants still live there.     This is a AAAA national tourist site that receives little publicity. The ferry and entry fee to the island are 60rmb. The ferry is mostly standing only but it is a two minute trip. There is a temple, a pagoda, a hill climb, rock gardens, an old fort, a forest of stelae and numerous other nooks and crannies to explore on the island. Take a picnic basket and this makes a great day trip. Don't forget the mosquito repellent.     Xu Zhou is a city in the middle North part of China and is now under great development. we went to he city in the. Idle of this year for relaxing and visiting friends. One night we went out to the Binhu park and it was so big and fully covered by green plants and beautiful flowers. There was also a big lake lying in the park with fresh water flow. You can even see fishes in the Water too. We had a walk around and found few traditional wooden buildings and corridors in the park, where it also shows the famous interests in the city as paint on the ceiling of the corridor. It was such a nice place for a short/long walk, or even having a picnic with family and friends since its beautiful natural plants and lawns.     Xuzhou may not be one of the top destinations in China to visit....but if you have the time, it’s worth the time and certainly a visit that avoids the huge crowds of many popular historical sites. We found the audio tour in English to be quite good and as informative as visiting Versailles....The tomb itself is carved into a natural stone hill. Like the Egyptians pyramids, these burial grounds provided many necessities for the afterlife....cooking facilities, an actual toilet, stables for a horse drawn chariot, a party room. his and hers burial caskets....it’s remarkable preserved and the artifacts are well presented. The quarters are a little tight...if you have visited the Catacombs in Paris, it’s a bit confining....but it’s not crowded nor the actual site is not large and takes no more than an hours to walk through. Xinjiekou is the intersection station..at first I don't know there was many stores where you could find easily from the station. So if you arrive @Xinjiekou station,don't go upstairs to the ground..but go to exit 7,you can find huge malls..many famous restaurants,deserts,Uniqlo,HnM..there..and if you want go to Fashion lady,just go to exit 12.don't go to the ground level,you will be confused..cause so many tall buildings,and it seems very far..just find in the basement or station level..
