My first experience was in 2013 when an Engineer wanted to go explore during the 100+ temperatures. We walked to the park from the hotel (Crown Plaza) then all the way to the top and back down again. Despite being uncomfortably hot and humid, we were energized by the thought of those efforts taken to build and later re-build the city wall. There are several historical sites along the way and thankfully, there were refreshment vendors along the route which allowed us to keep hydrated. In 2014 I repeated the route when I had other Engineers come to support our project. It was a shame that some wanted to hide in the hotel instead. Oh well, it was and is their loss. A Gem in the middle of crazy....This is a massive park that you can really take your time and spend all day with a picnic or head in to on your lunch break for 20 minutes for some down time. Great big manicured gardens and paving meets winding paths and natural areas to the you to different areas of the park. You can walk easily or take wheel chairs in most areas. you can also hire bikes for a very reasonable fee. you can even do random bikes if you are keen.
