Golden Sunrise Over Mount Meili
A spot to experience the sunrise, from the viewing platform. Only you won't be alone! It can be crowded, start the day early, and try to find a place at the viewpoint. Try to appreciate the clouds, and various colors. Some people are noisy, better ignore them. Opposite the platform, there are some hotels, with higher prices (the higher the room is located, the more expensive the room). I was in a hotel further away, but still on foot, maybe 15min walk.

Yunnan Summer Rain
Based on other users' feedback I have decided to give full grades to this scenic spot. Despite being there actually I couldn't see anything. The best place for admiring these mountains is the Feilaisi platform. But from there I could only see clouds. Unfortunately I have chosen the worst season to visit Shangri-La county. It was raining all the time.Prior to planning your holiday in Yunnan please take this into consideration. Bad weather can affect both your holiday and your mood. Winter is the best season for traveling in this amazing Chinese province.
