I have been going to Bunschoten-Spakenburg about 6 times since October to work on a boat based in the marina, it is the most beautiful setting of a working small town. Fantastic market on Saturdays with enough choice of fish to cook everyday of the week, it has history, shops, places to eat and drink and everyone I have met have been really friendly... what more do you need? The waterway in the town is lined with traditional Dutch barges with a workshop carving the massive timbers to refurbish them. So if it’s classic or modern boats in the Jachthaven Nieuwboer (marina and ‘glamping’ Cabins) just 10mins walk along Westdijk it all worth a visit even if you don’t have a boat! See more..
