The Militair Ereveld Grebbeberg near Rhenen is the first war cemetery in the Netherlands. Only soldiers are buried here. This cemetery on the Grebbeberg is the final resting place of more than 800 Dutch soldiers who fell in May 1940 in the battle for the southern part of the Grebbelinie. They are buried in the ground they have defended with their lives. See more..

Walking on the Traaij on Saturday afternoon, we saw a gate of an old small building was open. Pure of curiosity we went to take a look and it's a gate of an old cemetery. The volunteer who was there at that day welcomed us very friendly. It's a small old cemetery with the graves of important people for Driebergen in the past. There is also a small museum "Vroeger en Nu", telling the history of funeral and the ceremony in the past and also there are pictures of the people who were buried in that cemetery. It's worth a visit. It's open every saturday 1.30 pm - 4.30 pm See more..
