It is actually not only a cheese shop but it is also a farm. The chicken were running around, the cows were waiting to be milked, the peacocks were in their loft. Next to the shop is the cheese making. In the shops there is enough things to choose. We did buy some kind of cheese, plums also the fresh eggs and I loved the fig bread. Very kind people who helped us. Next to the shop there is a museum ( in a barn). It was nice to see the collection of all the old craft items, vintage coffee machines, ovens, cans, bread machines etc.See more..

In a very quiet part of Holland alongside a river and in the middle of pastures is this place for gardners with an expensive taste. The place has a webshop although not all items can be sent (e.g. not a wooden green house, that you have to come and get yourself). 'The Garden Shop' (litteral translation from the Dutch 'De Tuinwinkel') is geared towards gardners who appreciate rustic workmanship products and whoe are willing and also able to afford the prices attached. The webshop is a good start to explore if De Tuinwinkel is for you. De Tuinwinkel is located on a big piece of land, lots of green around it and the remodeled modernized farmhouse 'Stroomzicht' is on the grounds as well. Beware for the narrow winding round alongside the river that you have to drive to get there. It is a bit of a scary road to drive when you are not from around the place and not used to two way traffic on a road that seems to be made for just one way traffic.See more..
