This beach is recommended in the guide books. However, we follow the advise in lonely planet and took the ferry to HuangDao and then bus 1, but the bus route didn't ended at the beach and we had to take a taxi for a 5 min ride to the beach. It's far way more short and convenient if you take the ferry to Xuejiadao and then a short taxi ride to Golden beach (HuangDao ). Be aware of the restaurant at the beach, ask for prices when you order, we didn't and they charged us ridiculous prices for the food..:(See more..
We were pleasantly surprised by this beautiful beach, an easy cab ride from the centre of Qingdao (it's also on the subway). The area is nicely landscaped, there are lifeguards, and there are kiosks selling typical beach paraphernalia and snacks, a cafe, and public toilets (though they are very widely spaced). We rented a table with an umbrella and 4 chairs for 200RMB for 4 hours (a full day, which lasts from 8.30-4.30, is 300RMB). Loungers don't seem to be available on any of Qingdao's beaches, so we just took a blanket for when we wanted to lie down. We would recommend going here on a weekday in September, as it was busy but not crowded by any means, and the weather was perfect!See more..
4.0No.1 Bathing Beach(160 reviews) - Best Swimming Beach in Qingdao Beaches
More like a cove, this area is very quiet and calm. The sea is more like a lake, no waves, just gentle swells -no rough currents, which makes it ideal for swimming on those balmy endless summer days. Its usually always full with people but to me it never feels crowded. I usually go for the entire day and enjoy listening to the gentle surf on VERY SoFT golden sand and the faint sounds of overjoyed children. This beach is ALSO kept very clean by municipal staff. The overall atmosphere is great. The beach is lovely and the people are friendly. They have cold beverages and affordable places to keep your things. There are many places to rent umbrellas, boats and inflatables. Great place for a vacation. See more..
4.0Qingdao Second Beach(117 reviews) - Old town beach Sunday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Beaches
Very close to Qingdao old town and Badaguan area. Not so many possibilities for car parking but great to reach on bicycle or walking ♂️. Crowded during summer and winter ❄️ is just fine with many people when nice weather. If trained in walking ♀️ you can have a hike from downtown on seaside to reach the place in 1hSee more..

Very crowded. Too many people on the beach and very few in the water? Seems strange, since the water is nice and water.See more..
4.0Huanghai Amusement City(13 reviews) - Land Mark of Yantai Sunday: 7:30 AM - 9:30 PM Beaches Most beautiful place in Yantai. Nice walking place along the ocean. Buses go there for 1 or 2 RMB. Highly recommended.See more..
3.5Haiyang Beach(3 reviews) - Clean but nothing special Beaches The beach is clean but there is nothing special. The sea is quite shallow so once the outflow you have to walk to get to the sea. Water is hardened by the sand. See more..
Some floating tents, mini cranes for kids to use. Very small amount of man made beach. Some snacks. For a family of young kids it would be fun. Not sure if suitable for others. Stay late for lake views with pretty lightsSee more..
