   This place is awesome. I constructed my recent trip around hunting for dinosaurs in China. Unfortunately there's not a lot of info out there on how to get to Zhucheng and navigate around Zhucheng.    The first centralised capital of China, such as it was, was here north of Linzi, near Zibo, during the Warring States Period of China around 300BC. It was an important time in Chinese history. The museum appears to be located on or near the site of the Jixia Academy, akin to the first university in the world. The Qi kingdom was the precursor to the creation of the dynasties that ruled China for the next 2000 years. Now it is factories and paddocks, but this amazing museum has been built to honour the history of the region. Tricky to get to (I caught a train to Zibo and a taxi to the site, and pretty much only found it by accident in the end). But well worth it for Chinese history buffs. See more..

   Unfortunately I was too late and the Hall was closing soon so I just had a short glance. Anyway it is very clean and well in order. The personal, especially the security guard is very kind and allowed to have a short look in an already closed area. Try it, it is just 50m next to the tower. See more..

   I visited the museum a month before the Covid - 19 outbreak. For a relatively small city in Chinese terms, the Dezhou Museum is good, but its information / collection pertaining to its role on the Grand Canal and its Mao button collection are must - see highlights.     Perhaps because of the time of day we went, it was free. We spent 45 minutes in the museum. It was well conceived and showed the war well. Much of the information had good English translations.     今年4月中旬去的，从外观上看很宏伟很大气，整栋楼是回型建筑，里面一共五层分两部分，恐龙和植物化石一部分，各色水晶石头一部分。入门大厅里有三个大恐龙骨架，好宏伟。水晶美轮美奂，有紫色黄色，有的一个里面有三色水晶；那里还有中国最大的钻石，三百三十八克拉，玛瑙、祖母绿等等各色各种石头很美。 See more..

    八月底回故鄉膠州之前，把拜訪「揚州八怪」之一的高鳳翰先生的故居列入唯一也是必去的行程。〔如果不熟悉揚州八怪是那八怪也無妨，知道「難得糊塗」的鄭板橋也是其中一怪就行了。〕
    不為觀光客，正是歸鄉人，從下褟的酒店走了四十多分鐘，到了古宅。下午起風，氣溫降了五、六度，頗有山雨欲來風滿樓之勢。高先生生於斯、葬於斯，園內有荷、柳、竹、梅、桃及許多老樹及老屋，曲徑通幽、樸實無華，充滿文人氣息，低迥良久而出。
