We love the island. After a short ferry ride from the mainland its a different world with tantalising glimpses into history in various museums and exhibits : The headquarters of the Chinese Northern fleet as it modernised in the late 19th century, the naval and land battle with Japan in 1895 when the island was overwhelmed, and the colonisation by the British from 1898 till 1930. (Intriguingly there is a house where it is claimed that Margaret Thatcher lived, and that she was born in Weihai not Grantham as history asserts. ) There are nice peaceful walks to the western end where the gun batteries were decimated by the Japanese and to the gun emplacements on the summit. Unfortunately there is not a circular path around the islands coast which would be nice. See more..

We took the tour to see the Million Bird Island and the shear amount of birds, mainly seagulls, that followed the boat was amazing. You can buy the little meat sticks to feed the birds from the boat, but I would suggest buying a sack full before you go. The gulls won't eat bread, so don't waste your money. It is really a lot of fun to toss the food into the air and watch the gulls catch it and sometimes steal it from each other. See more..

去年和前年春夏交接的时候和家人去过两次海驴岛,坐轮渡到岛上,儿子一直很兴奋,岛上空气清新,海水环抱着山,成群的鸟儿在这里繁衍栖息,一派大自然的和谐景象,不禁让人觉得心旷神怡!不过最好打一把太阳伞,不然有可能得到这儿的主人特别的欢迎方式,受到鸟粪的袭击!后来无意中看到电视上有介绍,国内首部鸟类电影<<天赐>>在此拍摄的,看了拍摄花絮,感觉很温馨很感人! See more..

zhifu dao is a small peninsula just off Yantai. Large cliffs which drop straight down into the sea and remote pebble beaches with scarcely a person in sight make it a refreshing change from the crowded tourist spots. the best part is there is no ticket fee....yet! Chinese travel sites say you need to get a boat from the port at the end of Shengli Road to get here. After walking in the hot sun for half an hour to get there, Shengli Road had no direct access to the port (all under construction). Furthermore, locals don't often go here or can even tell you where to get a boat there. It seems that the island has no infrastructure to offer tourists at this stage and it is very difficult to visit. See more..

在青岛呆了四年，灵山岛是最喜欢去的地方之一，只因我喜欢安静的大海，坐在海边静静的看着海浪，心会格外平静。寒冬腊月的灵山岛更是别有一番韵味，一大早从市区坐隧道3号然后去积米崖码头坐汽艇，大约半个小时就能到达灵山岛。心是火热的寒冬的灵山岛到也没想象中的那么冷，土炕农家，山间放羊的老农，转身就能看见大海。这就是大海最初的模样。 See more..

镆铘岛可能是中国唯一用宝剑之名命名的海岛。传说干将镆铘雌雄宝剑就是在这个岛上炼成，1000多年前日本高僧园仁法师在此岛登陆时就叫镆铘岛，是春秋吴王夫差炼宝剑的地方。从空中望去，也似一把宝剑。岛上现存大面积海草房，非常漂亮。有1883年英国人修的灯塔一座。还有德国茔地一处，葬有德国爱妮公主和德国舰长等77人的墓地。海上有三帆石，是一个景点。向西可看到赤山明神锻铜神像。岛上居民热情好客，海鲜很美味。气候冬暖夏凉，但水质一般。喝水需自带矿泉水。 See more..

幸运的很，一上岛，就被收了5元的卫生费，说是从昨天开始的。我们一行四人，谈了一辆当地人的蹦蹦车带我们游岛，先到火山岩，那里地方不大，火山喷发留下的礁石深入海里，可以摸摸小雨小蟹，但是岩石长着苔藓，都很滑，很容易摔跤，玩了几分钟就联系蹦蹦车来接我们，送我们去栈道，所谓栈道就是当地人围着一小片海边火山岩修的简陋的无法再简陋的水泥路面钢筋扶手的短暂的“道”，比起威海的海驴岛的海和栈道差远了。此外，就没什么美丽的海岸，还不如来时对面的黄金海岸。不建议去。 See more..

美丽的徽山岛，座落在鲁西南的最南端，地处山东与江苏交界处，四面环水，地势西高东低，因岛上有殷商纣王这兄微子墓，故而得名徽山岛。至今与外界无桥路相通，这也许正是徽山岛至今能保持如此好的自然环境的主要原因。最好的旅游季节是7、8月份，这个季节的荷花开的最艳，一定要做好个人防护，湖里的温度会很高。
岛上主要旅游景点有铁道游击队记念园，殷微子墓、张良墓等，其他的可以在网上搜搜就不多说啦。上岛的第一感觉就是静，当然我说的静不只是环境的静，还有心静，远离的城市的喧嚣，可以把紧张的心放松一下，这个还是要你自己去感觉一下喽。吃的也主要以湖产品为主，像各类淡水鱼、水藻，田螺、河蚌都有，做法也是以辣为主，这和当地的饮食习惯有关系。住的地方没有太好的宾馆，农家小旅馆较多。购物多以水产品的干货为主，价格不贵，有些比其他地方的还便宜，比如青皮（鸭蛋——当地叫法），莲籽等。
节假日人太多，渡船有要等老长时间，开车的朋友会不方便，车上船很费事。平常时间一家人来玩玩，在湖上人家吃饭感觉会很舒服。
总体来说，这是个放松、休闲场所，没有什么玩的地方。 See more..
