Simply put, it was exhausting. However, after I reached the top of the mountain I felt an overwhelming sense of accomplishment! After 5 hours of walking I reached the top and made a wish. If it comes true then I guess I'll be returning! Just 70KM south of Jinan City, it's worth the day to climb. After, treat yourself to a nice massage. Your legs will thank you. For the individuals who do not want to climb 1545 meters, there is a gondola that runs up and down. RMB100/person each way. Also, don't be fooled into carrying lots of water with you. It's too heavy and you can buy it along the way. Wear a good pair of shoes--I wore Sperry Topsiders thinking it wouldn't be an issue. It was tough, but I survived. Happy climbing! See more..

还能够感觉到文殊寺、千佛洞当年的恢弘盛况。
红叶谷的风景很好，有瞭望台可以登高俯瞰。
摩云山寨的历史故事很吸引人。佛光崖的传说和线刻很值得回味。
最喜欢望月亭和山阴的水帘洞。
有点小遗憾，去时文殊寺正在重建大殿，塔吊颇有点破坏仰视佛光崖的效果。
交通不是很方便，旅游专线不拉到景区门口，很差劲。推荐自驾前往。
10月底深秋之时去最好，红叶能够红透。

This information is hard to find. This is the where the Kite Festival is located. During the festival, there are direct buses from various location in Weifang. We accidentally found one that started outside the Weifang furniture market. It left around 10am and cost 2 yuan. We went during the day of the first day. I am sure there are other buses that leave earlier. Or you can use city buses. Many go to fuyanshan. During the day, it was free to watch all the kites flying and you were even allowed to fly your own kite. Also on the mountain is a large statue of Guanyin and a pagoda that can be climbed. We took a staff trip to visit Zhaohushan in the Springtime. After experiencing a couple of other national parks that were full of litter, hawkers, and tourists, I was not expecting much. I was in for a very pleasant surprise. The mountain and reservoir were pristine. I did not see a scrap of litter during my entire visit that day. We hiked up the mountain a ways, then stopped for a rest. We heard the wind blowing through the trees, birds singing, and no people. If you are looking for a quiet retreat from the grey, urban life of China, this is a great place to go! Tip 1: just spend your time enjoying the mountain and hiking trails. There are a few temples around the mountain, but they were all (obviously) built recently to impress tourists. Tip 2: there is a restaurant on site, but I would recommend just packing your own food. This was a great get-away when you have at least half a day. There is a public bus straight to the entrance which makes getting there very cheap. The trails are paved most of the way, while some places have steps, and one brief section where you have to scale some rocks. Slightly strenuous, no strollers, etc. We to there first thing in the morning while still cool and crowds were small. As we were coming off the mountain I saw the families and kids were multiplying. I definitely recommend an early morning start to avoid crowds. If you want to stay in the area overnight, there are several hotels right at the base of the park which looked nice. See more..

The mountain's summit is only 385m high. It is relatively easy to walk up, and should not be a problem for elder people and children as well. Besides the nice nature with pine trees along the way, there is a huge rock on top of the summit. A colorful, temple like roof is built above it, as if it would need protection from the rough weather. A not too common but nevertheless interesting mix of man-made and natural structure. A restaurant is located at the beginning of the mountain trail and there is also some limited car parking space there too. You can hike up the trail in less than an hour. I have gone to Lianhuashan twice. Xintai city is located at desert area, but I can see many green plants in Lianhuashan, I think this place is one of the beautiful spot in Xintai city. Admisson fee is 50RMB. If you climb by your own foot, it takes about 1.5 - 2 hour to the top of the mountain. You can choose to use ropeway. Middle road is almost stone steps. I like east road because I can feel more like walking in the mountain. 我去过莲花山两次。新泰在干燥的地方，但是在莲花山我看到了很多绿色的植物。我感觉莲花山是在新泰一个美丽的地方。门票是50元。如果你用自己的腿爬山的话，要大概1.5 - 2个小时到山顶。你会先择坐索道。中路的大部分是石阶。因为东路是更山地的感觉，所以我喜欢爬东路。 See more..
