The city, whose name was formerly anglicized as Tsingtao, was a concession port to the Empire of Germany. It is well known for its Tsingtao beer and its lovely architecture. German colonial architecture is a bit rarer in the world compared to that of the Spanish, British, Portuguese, and French empires. All the more reason to cherish this elegant little church. This is an amazing temple that is aways out of the city, but so worth the trip. There are incredible lifelike statues of monks inside one of the buildings, and the temple tower is so beautiful. There is also a large area of stele markers for the buried monks from all over Asia - so dense it looks like a forest. Magical place! See more..

I spent National Day in Taishan or what they call Mount Tai. I was with a tour group and only spent the day there. First line is getting your coach bus that will take you to the base camp where you choose to go on foot up or take the cable car. That's 30 RMB one way. Upon reaching the base camp, the log climb begins or you may want to use the cable car ... be ready to be pushed for an hour by the crowd until you get to buy your ticket for 100 RMB one way, and another 30 minutes or so of more pushing until you see your cable car. The scene was very good. The ride was smooth and not scary at all. Whew, this mountain is very steep. I was thankful I chose the cable car. The view on top was fascinating. The weather changes drastically from misty, foggy, sunny, windy and cloudy. I can only see heads and more heads every where. I had my picture taken and printed there for a lofty cost. My only decent souvenir. There are food and souvenir shops in a village like part of the mountain. The temple was further uphill but it was very crowded and I can't stay long because my guide told me to be back in the park by 5PM. I wanted to enjoy the serenity a real mountain brings but I didn't find it there on a national day holiday. Be warned already! Stay longer and go there off-peak so you can have the mountain to yourself. See more..

Qixia (or Xixia) is a small town near Yantai. It is a good day trip location from Yantain. The car ride is about 1.5 hours one way. Mushi Manor is the main attraction in Qixia. It has a very interesting history to tell. The management of the Manor represents a early socialism thinking in China. I found that this place would be a good place to visit for history lover and art/architecture enthusiasts. However, be aware of the vendors and fortune tellers inside this attraction. They are quite annoying and would try to sell you expensive souvenirs and services. Stay away from them, you will have a wonderful time visiting there. See more..

四门塔位于济南的市郊，坐公交车就可以到。可以在售票处花钱请一个见解的导游，这样对游四门塔很有帮助。这个寺庙内有一面山壁都是佛像，据说是以往的很多皇帝陆续派人在这里建造的。还有这个寺庙里面很多老和尚去世后的灵骨塔，还有一颗很大的万寿树，还有很著名的四面佛。建议去济南的时候最好去玩一下，很有历史沧桑的感觉。 See more..

The visit to the Pagoda area is very interesting, it is at the heart of the city, with many activities going on in the evening, very popular for tourists and locals alike. I enjoyed the visit to the Pagoda and the area around it, with many great small restaurants serving wonderful authentic local dishes. the music and fireworks in the pavilion was also and additional attraction. the best part of my visit to Tengzhou was meeting so many wonderful people, some of whom are now great friends that I am still in regular contact with, very nice and hospitable people.. 临清舍利塔位于运河岸上，在临清市的西北郊外，和朋友第一次去的时候不要门票，是零几年过去的，具体是哪一年忘了。之后去过好多次好多次。因为离得很近所以说很方便，后期塔下修缮了类似公园的小路，花草还有小桥。塔里面的楼梯很陡，光线很暗，因为爬的人比较多，台阶有的都踩出脚印或者很平滑，建议穿着比较防滑的鞋子，带着有手电筒功能的手机。爬到最高层观看两岸还是别有一番风格的。 See more..
