Quiet Fishing Town
We spend 1 week in Rizhao and stayed walking distance to the beach. Rizhao is much slower pace than the big cities and the people are very friendly. We felt very safe walking through the villages. The main attraction is the lovely beaches. There are plenty of beach activities to do and many souvenir shops on and around the beach. There are many seafood restaurants with very fresh and tasty food. We spent a day at the Rizhao Markets. We caught the No. 10 bus from the northern beaches. The markets are very cheap and you don't have to bargain much because the prices are very honest.There are also a few department stores in the city. If you don't speak any Mandarin you may struggle a little. It was a very relaxing and peaceful holiday.

Beautiful opportunity for future
The beach itself is long and thus great in many aspects. Taking a walk is relaxing and you also have the woods there. But non residents pay 60 RMB and no cafes or restaurants with ocean view.
