Beautiful golden sands
We were pleasantly surprised by this beautiful beach, an easy cab ride from the centre of Qingdao (it's also on the subway). The area is nicely landscaped, there are lifeguards, and there are kiosks selling typical beach paraphernalia and snacks, a cafe, and public toilets (though they are very widely spaced). We rented a table with an umbrella and 4 chairs for 200RMB for 4 hours (a full day, which lasts from 8.30-4.30, is 300RMB). Loungers don't seem to be available on any of Qingdao's beaches, so we just took a blanket for when we wanted to lie down. We would recommend going here on a weekday in September, as it was busy but not crowded by any means, and the weather was perfect!

Beach ? in February
Crowds during summertime, winter ❄️ is moser peaceful with less people. You can reach it by car ?, public transport or as we did by walk. From downtown it is 8 km on seaside and you are away from traffic. There is chance that some coffeeshop is open on the way to the beach ?. Beach is large, especially with nice background of Laoshan mountains ⛰. Bicycle ? ride is possible as well

Longest stretch of sand in QD
This is a long and wide beach with lots of sand. Not many services but there are cleaning people darting all over picking up trash. The beach is unbearable on the weekends in August due to traffic, no parking, noise and crush of people attending the beer festival.
