My first trip in Guilin, chosen to a non popular but historical city - XingAn. I have chosen Guilin Merryland Resort thru recommendation. It’s a rather old hotel and a distance away from the city but come with pretty nice environment with a golf course and theme park for kids. What I like about were the nice natural reserve and garden, fresh air on the morning very relaxing. Great for break away from City. Another plus point nice pool for me to relax. Room rate extremely reasonable. I will be back when I need a quiet and relaxing weekend break.See more..

5.0South Mountain Ranch of Longsheng(1 review) - The rice fields of Longsheng Wednesday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Amusement & Theme Parks The trip there is an absolute must if you are in the area. The parking lot is approx. 300m below the peak and the ascending can be quite tough if you are not used to the weather and the physical exercise. When you reach the top you will see the rice field terraces which were build in the last 1700 years along the hillside of the mountains. It is just spectacular.See more..

If you like viewing stones or sculpture, then this is an interesting place to visit. Unfortunately for me, the museum was closed due to a bomb scare when I was there, but I still enjoyed the rest of the park and its great minimalist sculptures of Chinese literary figures.See more..
